Solid Application and much better than Excel

Comments: I worked with a few other applications like Quip, Airtable, and excel, but Smarsheets has a comprehensive capability to address several use cases. I used to automate invoice approval, project intakes, and project management, and they have reduced resourcing and effort.

Pros:

It's feature-rich, especially with the automation capabilities that are baked in.

Cons:

As with all software, there is a learning curve, but once you get over that, it is a solid application that can solve many types of projects and processes.

A super useful tool for managing projects in any profession!

Comments: Using Smartsheet was an excellent way to think through the various tasks of a project, set deadlines / goals, and loop in teammates to better collaborate on the projects. Overall I really enjoy the program.

Pros:

The thing I liked the most about Smarsheet was how easily customizable and rich in options projects and the use of the program was.

Cons:

Diving into Smartsheet can be slightly daunting at first since there are many layers of options and ways to go about managing a project or scheduling out workflow.

Complicated software

Comments: its ok but i would prefer other apps over this particular app.

Pros:

It enables people to plan, assign task and track the process of projects.

Cons:

It is a very complex and the mobile app is inadequate and have limited reporting capabilities.

Best PM Tool Available

Comments: I used this a few years ago as a PM and I wish that I could have it at my current role. I have used many different tools, some good and some awful, but if I had 1 choice, it would be Smartsheets.

Pros:

This is the best tool I have used as a Project Manager. There are so many features that I could write about, but most importantly you will not need additional tools/software to track projects. The ability to track a project, update timelimes based on missed deadlines, share with a customer and have a live document is so important for a successful project.

Cons:

It is expensive. There is also a learning curve. I would say for beginner level use and just navigating around, it is very user friendly. But like Excel, there are so many things it is capable of and it takes time to figure them out.

Love Smartsheet

Comments: I used Smartsheet while working as a Project Accountant. It allowed me to work very closely with the project managers, service team, and engineers. I am a huge fan of Smartsheet and recommend it to any company that is project based and need a tool to manage the work flow.

Pros:

I love that Smartsheet allows you to effectively collaborate with ppl that’s on the project team. It allows you to keep track of the workflow.

Cons:

The only con I did have is that I thought you could not see who was the last person to modify something on the Smartsheet, but actually there’s ways to track changes with an activity log.

Smartsheet is a great project management tool!

Pros:

I like that Smartsheet has a lot of different functions. It can be used for project management, inventory or event event planning. It's very easy to use and it seems like the builders are listening to the customers when they request new features.

Cons:

Sometimes it feels like there are too many features to know how to use or benefit from all of them.

Comments: It has significantly improved our project management processes. It helps us track progress, identify bottlenecks, and collaborate effectively, leading to better project outcomes and increased productivity.

Pros:

It is flexibility and customization options are impressive. I can create various types of sheets to track tasks, budgets, and resources, making it a versatile tool for project management.

Cons:

The learning curve can be steep, especially for those new to the platform. A more intuitive interface would be beneficial.

Flexibility and super easy

Comments: I feel that it is super easy to use and also accessible through phones.

Pros:

The one thing that I liked most about Smartsheet is Flexibility of using it. One can edit and make changes anytime on this and everyone can see those updates right away even on the phones.

Cons:

So far, there was nothing like that. I found everything good about the app.

Awesome Project Management Tool

Comments: Smartsheet is a great excel alternative with many different enhanced options such as project management tools/views, assigning users to rows/tasks, comments, automation, dashboards, etc.

Pros:

Ease of use while maintaining advanced features

Cons:

Some times the desktop app can experience long load times during initial startup

Comments: I also valued Smartsheet's robust reporting functionalities. Smartsheet's collaborative tools were very impressive. By improving communication, the danger of miscommunication or duplicated efforts is minimized, which is essential for keeping the project on track.

Cons:

Smartsheet's adaptability is a strong point, it can also result in discrepancies in how various team members configure and oversee their sheets. In the absence of explicit instructions, this might lead to a dearth of uniformity among projects, hence complicating the task of upholding a unified project management methodology.

Smartsheet: Advanced Project Management Tool

Comments: Overall experience with Smartsheet has been great. I have been using it since 2020 for my project tracking, daily tasks, monitor reports and so many other things and it provides a great visibility to me, my team and leadership on where we are on our projects with their timelines.

Pros:

Love the new slick version of Smartsheet which allows me to cross function and collaborate with multiple users from different teams and also helps me set up a level-based permissions to access the sheets which I think is a great help for my business needs.

Cons:

Some times on the filters, it doesn't fully function or filter out the wanted and unwanted data. Also, the same filters when applied sometimes mess up my entire data set

Our experience with Smartsheet for client implementations

Comments: Smartsheet was easy to learn and very flexible.

Pros:

Smartsheet is great for client implementations. We were able to configure worksheets to meet specific implementation processes. We were also able to provide the client with the ability to update some or all of the worksheets within Smartsheet as well as create a document store for the client so we could keep track of official versions of documents.

Cons:

I wish there was a less expensive option to allow client users access without paying the additional cost for that.

Smartsheet is taking over

Comments: Excellent features and its the best tool to create project plans. This is become more and more popular with businesses, so its worth taking the time and mastering your skills on this tool

Excellent for project plans, dashboards can be easily customised and are excellent way to get a high level, save time creating weekly reports

Guest users now need to have a licsence You need to practise how to use some features sich as dasboards Can be tricky moving rows

Good project management tool

Comments: I would use this software for future project management tools

Pros:

Smartsheet is a good project management tool. It helps you track your grouped dependencies and exported and clear GANTT chart

The sub-tasks were hard to manage within the tool or it wasn’t as intuitive

Comments: It is related to complete solution to managing projects. Now we use it every day and it is systematic, easy to use and not expensive. The automated workflows simply save your time that you can use for other a activities now. The availability of the mobile app is very convininet for the top management overviews of the project status anytime. Communication within the project plans is thorough and easy. Smartsheet will remain our tool for a very long time, I am sure.

Pros:

Solution to managing projects are execellent. They collect data from multiple projects into simple and useful dashboards for overview that the top managers adore. It helps us boost our PM process efficiency on a daily basis.

Cons:

The design could be a bit more modernized. But it is not a big deal to be jonest.

Very useful project management tool for Architects

Comments: I use it regularly and find it very helpful for project management as an architect. Highly recommend.

Pros:

Smartsheet is a wonderful tool for me. I use it to create tasks list broken down by project schedule and then can notify key team members about those tasks. They can update whether or not it's been finished so I can keep track of what's been done. I utilize their Gantt charts also to produce project timelines for clients - and in particular clients with whom I have multiple projects, and they can see them all in one place by creating a widget that shows all ongoing timelines in comparison. Very useful.

Cons:

I think there is a learning curve to it that can be a bit challenging. And finding the time to access learning resources to get up to speed is difficult at times. I'm not sure there's a good answer to that issue - it is what it is.

Comments: Tracking, planning and managing projects & tasks are the main benefits that I relish from Smartsheet.

Pros:

With Smartsheet, I am able to create and assign tasks automatically. Tracking time and expenses on projects is also at breeze for 24/7/365.

Cons:

Smartsheet has proven to be a real-game changer since it has zero errors at the moment.

Awesomely reliable system

Comments: I would recommend Smartsheet because it has more productivity than other apps. I love the collaboration in between teams and our ability to produce reporting consistently.

Pros:

It integrates with other tools easily and the mobile app is accessible on the go. I appreciate its versatility in project management and the workflow automation capabilities.

Cons:

Reports and dashboards can be a bit of a challenge to set up, but once you get the hang of it becomes easy to work with.

Pros:

It has been effective and straightforward to plan, manage and track projects with Smartsheet.

Cons:

Managing programs in my industry has never been hectic ever since I started using Smartsheet.

Powerful Collaboration Tool

Pros:

Amazing SaaS product for work management and collaboration. It offers a user friendly interface and provides a smooth user experience to the end users. I like the most the versatility of Smartsheet and ability to use their various add-ons for different use cases. Their forms are simple yet powerful, their automated workflows are flawless, and their dashboards are very aesthetically appealing.

Cons:

As any product has its pros and cons, Smartsheet also has different areas of opportunities. The biggest area of opportunity has been data limitations within the sheets; however, I know they are actively working on this enhancement and are supposed to be rolling it out shortly (I think the second half of 2024).

Comments: Overall, It is an effective scheduling and task management platform that provides a wide array of helpful templates. We can also create our templates and share them.

Pros:

This is a more effective and efficient tool for tracking all requests for small projects It is a user-friendly interface tool as we are all familiar with MS excel. It's easy to design distinct workstations for various Projects. Even, we can create a separate folder, sheet, and report for each stream within a project. The ability to notify users and the appropriate team when a task is created or changed. This helps us to efficiently handle our requests. The audit functionality within each sheet allows us to easily identify the recent changes and updates. So, we have more insights into what is happening with my request

Cons:

It Would also be nice if we could set a dashboard view as the default view for every user It has limited functionality when compared to other ticketing platforms. So, the big projects may find some difficulties with its functionalities
