Reviews of Basecamp

All the foundations you need
Pros:
Basecamp is the perfect solution for simplicity and efficiency. It has just what you need to manage projects, communications, and almost any collaborative work. You're not flooded with a ton of features that you'll never use. The message board is simple, yet effective, with just enough customisability. Most importantly, it's a product built for their own use case - so Basecamp's authors are using the platform to build their entire business around it. They have a ton of free resources, with my favourite being the Shape Up book about how Basecamp runs research & discovery on the platform.
Cons:
They've improved many of the things I didn't like, so I think the only remaining issue is that you can't set tasks to recur every 8+ days. It caps out at 7. It's a niche use case, but I needed it a few times already and had to work around this.
Comprehensive set of capabilities for us
Comments: Has special interface with other softwares which makes meeting management and scheduling great and possible.
Pros:
Basecamp is a unified workspace that manages all areas of everyday operations and duties for our company's management. It provides dozens of sales and marketing automation rules, charts, reports and calendar which are most appropriate for our organization.
Cons:
Very straightforward. It has maintained a clean reputation with us. I highly value Basecamp.
My effective project management tool.
Comments: Basecamp has made team collaboration a lot easier. I leveraged it to coordinate a cross-departmental effort, and the consolidated platform eliminated confusion and improved communication. It’s particularly great for teams that value simplicity over complexity.
Pros:
I like how Basecamp has everything in one place, messages, to-dos, files, schedule. For instance, when we were working on a remote team project, the message board feature also eliminated email threads going off on tangents, and automatic check-ins ensured that everyone was accountable without coming across as micromanagers.
Cons:
Advanced features are missing for more complex projects. Also, the interface is simple but somewhat dated compared with more modern tools.

Decent software. Could be better.
Comments: Basecamp works well and is a decent project management tool. If you have no used other project management tools than you will find it very helpful. However, if you have used software like Asana or Mondays, you quickly realize the limitations of Basecamp.
Pros:
Basecamp has single page projects that are relatively simple to use. The to-do lists are easy to use as well. Basecamp can also handle large file transfers.
Cons:
Basecamp isn’t the most user friendly software available. It’s quirky and somewhat difficult to figure out what to do if you aren’t familiar with the software.
Alternatives Considered:
Great tool to organize your projests
Comments: Support tasks and processes in food product development and marketing.
Pros:
Easy to implement to the company. Supporting tasks and project management. Easy to connect companies outside the business.
Cons:
Missing some functions in tasks editing.
Great entry level project management system
Pros:
The simplicity. Compared to other project management tools, Basecamp offered a simple to navigate system which was very user friendly.
Cons:
It was missing a few key features such as a reporting functionality
Basecamp Best Team Doc Storage Program
Comments: Very positive. Super interactive with all other major data programs. Can easily link to Google Docs or any other data.
Pros:
Excellent and user-friendly program for having a central location for shared document storage. Better than Google docs because it is not created within a dedicated account, so that when the person who created it leaves, access become problematic. Solved a significant access issue for our multi-disciplinary team.
Cons:
No downsides. At first I was slow to use it because it represented yet a whole other new software to get used to, but then when I spent even just a bit of time in it, I realized how extremely easy it is to use
Very Useful
Pros:
I like how everything is in one place, making project management straightforward
Cons:
It’s missing some advanced tools, like Gantt charts and task dependencies
Excellent choice for universities!!
Comments: I am pleased with using Basecamp. This is our college software for remote students. It is easy to use learn and to use. I have had no issues with missing assignments or time scheduling. Overall pretty excellent for use in a college setting.
Pros:
This software utilizes my student assignments, allows me to easily upload projects and send feedback to other students.
Cons:
There is not much about Basecamp that I do not like. This software is actually pretty great.
Basecamp - All you might need for simpler projects
Comments: We used Basecamp to organize our projects
Pros:
Relatively simple interface, not overly complex
Cons:
Sort of the opposite of the Pros - it's also not as flexible/powerful enough to do some of the things its competitors can do
Basecamp review
Comments: My experience with Basecamp is good and I recommend it for managing projects and tracking tasks professionally
Pros:
What I liked about Basecamp is its professionalism in document management and an easy and simple interface that anyone can rely on. I highly recommend Basecamp.
Cons:
Everything looks good on Basecamp, except that there is a slight problem, which is that the program crashes suddenly sometimes
Alternatives Considered:
Basecamp usage from a freelancer's perspective
Comments: Excellent. Would highly recommend it to other freelancers like myself.
Pros:
It had a simple UI which was easy to use and always on point. It did not have any fluff and it did not require me to spend an additional 5 minutes to interpret each page. It was also easier for my clients from smaller towns (who were not as tech friendly) to adopt to.
Cons:
The page would look cluttered at times when it had too many tasks and schedules put together. For someone like me who puts a high priority on UI, this was not very appealing. Incorporating grids/tabular format could have made it appear more organized.
Basecamp Powering Meaningful Ideas For Projects

Task management made super easy
Comments: With Basecamp we have been able to achieve an appointment scheduling system for the betterment our service delivery to our clients
Pros:
Basecamp is a hit but not a miss. It is simplified, tailored and integrated into an organized easy to use platform. It's comprehensivity stands out for me that it has a range of functionalities that perfectly suit my task management needs. It's straightforward and unified dashboard allow me to keep track of all my clients appointments. Since it is a default communication platform in the salon we use it as a centralized place where we can share new hairstyles and brainstorm on how to achieve each one of it soo it allows for sharing of any file of any format especially pictures which is the most common in our setup. Getting every appointment on calendar helps with scheduling the appointment to make sure there are no double salon appointments on the same time or day
Cons:
Honestly I love every bit of Basecamp and have nothing against it

Basecamp Review
Comments: Using Basecamp has been a really fruitful experience. It made working on remote projects easier and more productive for us, as there were no communication problems. Basecamp provides a shared dashboard that displays all project details, including plans and progress, which further aids in keeping us all in the loop regarding the project activity.
Pros:
Basecamp provides a really helpful group chat feature that lets us communicate in real time, no matter where we are in the world. This enables us to have extremely fruitful conversations, particularly while working remotely, which produces outcomes that are just as good as those obtained when working on-site. It gives us access to a shared dashboard where we can monitor the work that has already been completed, the work that is scheduled, and how our job is to be completed. It's simple and extremely safe to share files and other materials.
Cons:
Nothing about Basecamp bothers me the least, primarily since everything about it has been working really well.

A no brainer
Comments: I very much enjoyed Basecamp, and their simple featureset and pricing structure is a breath of fresh air in a world of tiered pricing and convoluted workflows.
Pros:
As a consultancy, Basecamp made it easy to keep all our projects in one place while only inviting clients to view their own tickets, keeping our developers sane.
Cons:
Basecamps simplicity is both it's finest feature and it's only shortcoming. Some companies have more convoluted workflows that require more advanced features.

Alternatives Considered:

Pros:
It was free and was a great project management tool for the stage of our company at the time.
Cons:
It was extremely easy to let customer chats on specific tasks drag on way too long and then it was difficult to go back and review what went on.
