### "Company uses contract as a weapon against their clients" — 1.0/5

> **Nisarg** | *27 April 2025* | Accounting | Recommendation rating: 0.0/10
>
> **Pros**: The software has some decent information on tax strategies to use on daily basis. It is user friendly
>
> **Cons**: They use the contract as a weapon against their customers. I asked to cancel the subscription few weeks ago. They automatically billed me for next few months and charged my credit card. On top of that, they deactivated my account. If you're going to forcefully charge the clients, at least give us access until the end of subscription period.
>
> Their sales rep, \[sensitive content hidden\], will also sell you on BS offers which will never get delivered. I don't recommend TaxPlan IQ to anyone, unless they want to pay them 1k a month for free. I just can't believe they auto charged my account and took access away from me. Least they can do is keep the account activated until the subscription ended.

### "Taxplan IQ make snake-oil salesmen look honest." — 1.0/5

> **Rafael** | *5 June 2025* | Accounting | Recommendation rating: 0.0/10
>
> **Pros**: Date of experience: November 2024 – May 2025

I’m a CPA who owns a tax-advisory firm, and I thought TaxPlanIQ’s software might streamline planning for our clients. The platform itself is decent—but the business practices behind it are anything but.

What happened
Month-to-month, then “gotcha” contract.
I signed up on a clearly month-to-month basis. Months later, when I asked to cancel, the company suddenly produced a “12-month agreement” I had supposedly e-signed back on Nov 6 2024—news to me.

The “contract” was created after the fact.
I examined the PDF they sent. The metadata shows it was first generated on May 29 2025 using Firefox’s “Save to PDF,” not any legitimate e-signature platform. No audit trail, no signature certificate, no IP match—nothing.

Immediate billing for a bogus cancellation fee.
Despite the obvious red flags, TaxPlanIQ’s controller canceled my account and slapped me with a hefty “early-termination” invoice, insisting the fabricated file was binding.

Refusal to supply proof.
I repeatedly asked for the actual e-signature logs, click-wrap screenshots, or the meeting recording they claimed existed. None were provided.

Why this matters
If a company can’t produce a genuine, time-stamped contract—and instead hands you a browser-printed PDF months after the alleged signing—it raises serious questions about integrity. At best, it’s sloppy record-keeping; at worst, it borders on deception.

Bottom line
The tech may be useful, but the risk of surprise fees backed by questionable paperwork isn’t worth it. Until TaxPlanIQ fixes its contract and billing practices, I recommend accountants look elsewhere.
>
> **Cons**: Opaque, borderline-deceptive billing. When I cancelled my month-to-month plan, TaxPlanIQ suddenly produced a “12-month contract” that metadata shows was created months after the alleged signing and used it to charge a cancellation fee. No genuine e-signature audit trail, no transparency, and customer‐service stonewalling instead of fixing the mistake—makes the software’s benefits not worth the risk.
>
> My experience began positively—the software itself is intuitive and helps visualize tax-planning scenarios. Unfortunately, everything unraveled when I tried to cancel. Despite signing up month-to-month, the company produced a “12-month contract” allegedly signed months earlier; forensic metadata proved the PDF was only created later and lacked any real e-signature trail. Customer service doubled down, levied a cancellation fee, and refused to provide legitimate proof. The platform’s utility can’t offset the mistrust caused by opaque, retroactive billing tactics. I ultimately left feeling that TaxPlanIQ’s product is decent, but its business practices make it a risky choice for any fi
