### "The best and only video hosting to prevent piracy" — 5.0/5

> **Pros**: I only use VdoCipher for my "precious" videos - those part of a paid course. These days piracy is rampant and everyone downloads and shares everything. I'm not a multi-million dollar company to be able to afford my work being stolen. VdoCipher prevents this from happening.
There are multiple layers of protection with VdoCipher. First, the videos are encrypted and streaming, which means it's not easy to download the videos using some browser plugin or special software. And it really does work. To get over this, the only way a pirate would be able to steal your videos is by recording the screen. It would be a tedious process, but some are determined. Fortunately, VdoCipher has this covered as well with Dynamic Watermarking. Dynamic Watermarking makes that every streamed video also shows the viewer's IP address and username (if Wordpress plugin installed) stamped on top of the video, and not in just one place, but moving around dynamically. It is amazing.
So if they would record the screen, they would also record it with their name and IP address, which would open them up to legal liability.

> **Cons**: Honestly, the price, even for this isn't the cheapest for pure video hosting. But totally worth it for hosting your "precious" videos that are part of a paid course. Because of this, I only use VdoCipher for my paid videos, and use VadooTV for my free or not-so-important videos.
Setting it up might not be as intuitive, but once you get the hang of it, you're good to go. You do need to go through some Documentation files to get started.
Another thing is that video files consume larger amount of space than the original file sizes, because it breaks the files in to smaller pieces, makes different copies for multiple devices and video sizes. So 1GB video file will end up using about 5GB of your storage space. Still worth it though. 
Another "con" might be the fact that their marketing is all over the place, and not straightforward. I almost passed along their service because they don't have a simple way of explaining what their service is about. The "features and benefits" type of their deal. It's more expensive than a normal video hosting for all purposes, but it's really cheap for what they actually offer - security and anti-piracy protection, which I think they are the best at.

For free courses or free videos, you might not really care, but if you have a paid course that gets stolen, that's money out of your pocket. That's your work\! 
Even paid platforms like vimeo or wistia who claim they have encryption and protection, still don't get close enough to protect your videos. With them, people might not be able to steal your videos as easily with browser plugins, but they still can with special software like GetFLV, Allavsoft, Unitube.
VdoCipher makes it extra hard for thiefs to steal your work that you most want to protect, at a cheaper price than Vimeo or Wistia. I haven't found any other software that offers this level of protection, with Dynamic Watermarking, and this cheap.

> **Pros**: What i like most about this software is the secured feature. But after months used this software, I little bit disappointed about the bandwidth, storage, compared with competitor. In the past, I can't get analytics about the audience, which I really need to analyze my audience. Now it have the feature, which is good but its too late for me.

At least, this platform do a good job for video protection. I must admit, I never feel scared my courses will be stolen easily. At least, it gives good job.
