Amazing Platform - Easy to Implement and Use

Comments: The team has been AMAZING to work with; exceptional support and service and extremely responsive when I encountered any issue.

Pros:

The platform is designed specifically for a Consulting Firm to manage projects, expenses, forecasting of people and revenue as well as reporting on utilizations and burns for a variety of engagements.

Cons:

have not found a feature I did not like.

A rare personalised experience with an off-the-shelf package

Pros:

1. The ongoing personalised support. This made the implementation process run very smoothly. Also, it has meant that any issues that arose after transition have been dealt with quickly and in-person (via video call). 2. The intuitiveness of Projectworks features. Very easy to use. 3. The openness to feedback and the resulting continuous improvement of the software.

Cons:

As with any off-the-shelf software package, we have had to use some workarounds to make it do what we want it to do (and effectively customise it for our reporting needs). With time and with the responsiveness of Projectworks to feedback and suggestions, we hope that some of our workarounds will no longer be necessary.

One stop shop

Pros:

I like working with Timecodes and Resourcing.

Cons:

I like the staff assignment the least as there are certain areas for improvement.

Easy to use project cost and resource management system

Comments: Solving forecasting issues, project cost management and tracking of time for hourly rates charge of projects. Less barriers for staff to get involved in forecasting tracking their time accurately and "live"

Pros:

Onboarding was well done, responsive support and customisation prior to go live. The interface is extremely intuitive and forecasting links well with invoicing to make the whole workflow easy. There's continuous updates which include new features or requests.

Cons:

We miss the ability to present all staff against resourced projects on a one page report format. A standard report that is able to do produce this information would be amazing.

Alternatives Considered: Synergy

Reasons for Choosing Projectworks: Workflowmax interface was cumbersome and no meaningful updates had been done to it for years.

Switched From: WorkflowMax

Reasons for Switching to Projectworks: We'd used Synergy in the past and decided we wanted to try something a bit newer with perhaps less legacy issues.

Great Software & Support

Comments: Fantastic - they go above and beyond for their customers and the software has had a big impact on our business.

Pros:

Implementation was extremely easy and our staff find it easy to use. They also offer fantastic customer support services

Cons:

Not all reports can be exported, I have been told they will be changing this

Alternatives Considered: WorkflowMax

Reasons for Switching to Projectworks: Met all of our needs and was much cheaper than Accello

Great Product!

Comments: We are saving so much time for the head of our PMO by having myself (PMO coordinator) and the project managers able to add resourcing to our projects and invoice. This is a huge time saving for us!

Pros:

We love the resourcing functionality in Projectworks. It is so easy to use and engaging. The project management team keep this updated on a regular basis and it makes our lives so much easier. The invoicing is also great.

Cons:

We are looking forward to when Projectworks develops purchase orders/planned expenses against projects, and develops invoices showing hours x rates. These are on the roadmap and will be great when they arrive!

Projectworks Review

Comments: Overall our experience with Projectworks has been extremely positive and easily adopted by our team. Is a great product and would highly recommend it.

Pros:

The product is really simple to use through an intuitive and modern interface. The product also has given us greater visibility of project performance and allowed us to react quickly in the event of a predicted project issue related to either time, cost, or resourcing.Integrations with both Xero and Jira have also given us essentially a fully integrated solution from time entry, to invoicing and payment.

Cons:

The custom report builder could do with some work as it's a little complicated to use.

Reasons for Switching to Projectworks: Projectworks had significantly better features

Good for Project Management

Comments: Easy enough to log time and manage resources via the portal.

Pros:

Easy to export burn reports and log time.

Cons:

You can't set rules about editing timesheets and for example rules about logging time. Also can't link parent and child engagements for projects so you end up with just separate projects to bill against.

A simple but user friendly Project Management solution

Comments: This system has allowed our company to be accountable for the information we are holding for our jobs. It has required our managers to be accountable as their processes are linked to the accounting team. I have really enjoyed the relationship with your team so far.

Pros:

Simple overlays and menus, The high level of accessibility for support whilst using the program has been fantastic

Cons:

A more specific requirement for my own company is showing the in and out rate on the time entries screen.

Reasons for Switching to Projectworks: Price

Great system

Pros:

Does everything we need to run our medium-sized consulting firm of 50 people. Intuitive, clean interface, very responsive help.

Cons:

Can't think of any major cons. The system is working well.

Inexpensive alternative to the pricey, comlicated tools

Comments: Love Project works. Such a more intuitive tool and simple to use.

Pros:

So easy to use. It's very logical. There are frequent releases with improvements.

Cons:

It's great at resourcing and reporting. You will need a project management solution like MSProject to track project progress but Projectworks does the rest for you.

Built for Software Development companies!

Comments: Having been an early customer, we feel like we've been able to contribute to the direction of the product. Implementation and support have been the best I've experienced in 25 years. Product has been reliable, flexible and done everything we needed. Love it!

Pros:

It was like we'd built the platform for ourselves! Spoke the same language, worked logically and surfaced what is important.

Cons:

Dashboards have been improving over time and will make this incredible when done. The open API though allows us to fill the gaps easily and quickly.

Well designed and flexible project management platform

Comments: Project manager efficiency is improved which reduces admin overhead. Users typically don't require much training and can pick up and use the platform quickly.

Pros:

Excellent support and client service. Smart features and excellent flexibility.

Cons:

Some documentation could be improved and cost budgeting would be a nice addition

Comments: I enjoy using it so far. It's early days, but I find it a robust and satisfying platform.

Pros:

I enjoy using Projectworks because of its layout. I find I intuitively know where to find items, but I also think/highly appreciate the onboarding that Projectworks provides for its clients. Tracking time can be nerve-racking and a mistake can permeate through an organization. However, I feel Projectwork has many buffers to avoid or at least have the ability to rectify mistakes earlier rather than later.

Cons:

I would really like to update the time without deleting the entire entry.

Comments: Packed full of features that really help save time. I like the look and feel of the product too.

Pros:

I like being able to see my teams resourcing in one place, being able to jump between screens with useful links so I can view a particular team members leave, time etc or update resourcing. The home screen is also really useful as I can see what I have and when my team members have leave. The alerts drop I also frequently use for leave requests and feedback. The leave screens for my team help with planning. I also use the reporting pages for time recorded and resourced vs worked for my team. The details recorded for my team members also helps with filling in forms etc. Accessing from anywhere with internet is also useful. Filtering and searches helpful also.

Cons:

Cant use without internet (I don't think). Would be good to be able to have a offline mode that syncs back. Copying time entries for the working week or multiple days at once would be useful. Resourcing for many weeks used to be an issue but I think resolved now. E.g. loading internal time for my team which doesn't change.

Everything you need to run your business and manage your projects!

Comments: I love using ProjectWorks, it is hands down the best project management tool I have used.

Pros:

Project Works has everything we need to manage our projects in one simple, easy to use tool. It has become the source of truth across the business. It provides a fantastic set of intelligent reports and data which helps us make decisions on our project and people resourcing, and risk management.

Cons:

Adding resources and tasks to a project is a bit slow. I’d like to see faster and more streamlined way to add resources and tasks to a project. Maybe like a spreadsheet/table style entry. For tasks, I’d like to be able to set a budget (rather than hour allocation per resource) which those assigned can see the spend to date to work against.

Great Product, Great Team

Comments: Very happy with core functionality. The product works and is fit for purpose. Needs some work on customizable dashboards and divisional reporting. Had to use Power BI for this.

Pros:

Project level profitability, margin, and utilization. Invoicing and Expense Management. access to our data.

Cons:

Reporting and Dashboarding for multi entities and multi divisions.

Intuitive, easy to use software

Comments: Extremely easy onboarding experience and timely after-sales support. The project team helped us customise projectworks for our business and made it super easy.

Pros:

Budgeting, forecasting, invoicing flexibility features are well thought out and very intuitive. We are able to manage all our projects efficiently.

Cons:

Lacks the ability to upload Purchase orders etc.

Amazing Product getting smarter every day

Comments: Amazing product getting smarter every day. Much better and easier to use product compared to most other time sheeting and planning software I used before.

Pros:

Web based, simple enterprise resource forecasting. Amazing product support. Good UI.

Cons:

Missing mobile app with start stop time tracking, easier entry of repetitive tasks (no auto suggestions). No Outlook read my calendar translate to timesheet as draft, with AI module. In my kind of job (consulting) working with many different clients on many tasks it's still taking me quote long to enter all my time even this is not the fault of the product I would wish for a connector to my Outlook calendar where all my tasks are stored anyway.

Fantastic for Finance

Pros:

Has eliminated a lot of manual work and double-entry for the finance team. The approval processes are all internal to the software which saves a lot of chasing. The integration with Xero from an invoicing perspective is seamless.

Cons:

Looking forward to more features around expenses

Powerful and easy to use resource and business management platform

Comments: We have a large portfolio of companies. Our team members are often involved in many projects spread out across the portfolio and it's crucial for us to plan our resources accordingly. Projectworks has enabled us to do all of that easily, without the need for a lengthy, complex and costly implementation.

Pros:

Being able to easily, accurately and efficiently track, allocate and forecast resources across a large, diverse and dynamic portfolio of companies and projects. Integration with Xero is also very helpful.

Cons:

Reporting. Projectworks has been improving the reporting capabilities quite a bit recently, but there is room for a little improvement.

Timesheeter

Comments: It's a good tool and would recommend to others. What I would suggest is keep focusing on getting the core functionality perfect, instead of bloating the software with too many bells and whistles. Enhance and simplify.

Pros:

Search looks work really well, makes life a lot easier when you're juggling multiple clients (esp when there's hundreds of clients in the list to scroll through).

Cons:

I'm allocated weekly hours on projects. When I do my daily timesheeting, it doesn't calculate how time I have left per project for the week. We had this on our previous tool and it's really useful.

Best tool for timesheets

Pros:

It is easy to use, I like how quick you can submit timesheets on the same dashboard.

Cons:

To be honest, from a user perspective, I don’t see any issues that would make me like least about it. I worked with other tools in the past, and it wasn’t straightforward, with too many screens to get a singular timesheet done. I am a happy user with Project Works.

Projectworks review

Pros:

Easy to use platform. In my sales role the forecasting reports are useful.

Cons:

Would be nice to create custom reports + integration to CRM.

Powerful management software

Pros:

Time sheeting is easy and fast to fill out, very clear UI.

Cons:

Don't have anything particular I disliked.
