Reviews of Entrata
Always improving
Pros:
Entrata makes the multifamily industry so much easier. They are always updating their software with amazing innovation. The settings and features are endless. They have a full time support team, trainers who do daily webinar trainings, as well as the option to come out on site and train, and they also offer a customer success manager who works with you daily to ensure that your company is succesfull while using Entrata.
Cons:
Because of the large amount of setting and feautre options, Entrata can get messy quickly. They also have struggles at times when it comes to large influxes such as rent week or stundent turn as well as when they release one of their updates every two months.
Best software for Residential leasing & accounting
Comments: Overall it's been great. I really like this software because it's made my job so much easier and my collections and communications have signifigantly improved.
Pros:
User friendly, compatability, excellent customer service, fantastic features and tools. Reporting that is easily customizable by the user. It's so much more flexible than our previous software and they are always striving to improve or create additional features specific to their customer needs. They are also super friendly and readily available by phone for support. I have never had to wait on hold. The CSR's are extremely knowlegable and professional. If it's an in depth issue, then the online tickets can take a while, but they always come through. Set up is a lot, but this is usually the case with any software transition. I will say that the transistion, although they always take some time and work, was the best I've experienced (and I've been through a LOT of them in my 30+ year carreer).
Cons:
Needing permissions to be turned on for every little thing if you are not an Admin can be annoying, but once it is set up it's rarely an issue.
Alternatives Considered:
Do Not Recommend
Comments: Awful. It is not worth the switch. Implementation was horrible and took way longer than we were told. Reports don't always accurately generate. Responsiveness is terrible. It is not compatible on a phone so it limits the ability to manage on the go. Maintenance is the only mobile compatible component but what you can access through the app is limited. Disappointed is an understatement.
Pros:
I like that it encourages paperless options.
Cons:
It is very glitchy. I've sent emails multiple times and it freezes while sending and the entire message has to be retyped and sent again. Their customer service isn't always the most responsive or able to fix your issues. We are currently dealing with an issue with them not including personal property coverage that we are paying for and no one will respond to our emails anymore to get this fixed. It has been 2 months since this was discovered and nothing has been done about it. Two claims have been denied in this time and they are not accepting any responsibility or making the adjustments that need to be made.
Entrata beats all other software systems!
Comments: Entrata is very simple to use. The dashboard shows everything on one screen and is easy to navigate. The training was "hands on". The help desk team has been very supportive. I don't want to ever go back to our previous software systems!
Pros:
Entrata has everything under one platform and is very easy to use.
Cons:
I don't really have a complaint. Even when there is an issue and we have to contact the helpdesk, their team is very kind in helping find a solution (even if it is user error).
Alternatives Considered:
We love Entrata
Comments: Wonderful! 10/10 would recommend to anyone in the Multifamily industry.
Pros:
We love the ease of use and that we can use Entrata instead of all different platforms.
Cons:
It tends to be a bit buggy after a standard update to the system.
Alternatives Considered:
Best PM software on the market
Comments: Excellent. I can always get help and answers immediately when needed
Pros:
Easy to set-up, customer service is amazing, affordable compare to other platforms.
Cons:
Set-up can be challenging as there are so many options.
Entrata Review
Comments: Overall the experiance with entrata has been excellent. No, complains support is quick on reponding issue reported.
Pros:
Information is easy to pull, ledgers are self explain. I have used other softwares and Entrata has been the most easy to use and manage. Also, to teach a new hire is easy, videos are very helpfull too.
Cons:
Generating report it could be confusing. Also, merging to utility billing was confusing speacilly to explain prices.
review of Entrata
Comments: It was hard at first but I got use to it.
Pros:
It is easy to use and I can get a lot of things done in it. I can do my bills and run checks and do the delinquency's.
Cons:
Cannot think of anything right now. It was hard to get use to after being on Yardi for 20 years but all in all I finally figured it out.
Entrata Review
Comments: I really love entrata! It took a minute to get used to but I love it!
Pros:
How easy it is to use and reporting made simple as well
Cons:
How many different ways you can find something. Keep it simple
Not Perfect, but Still a Great Software
Comments: Overall, my experience with Entrata has been a positive one. It's easy to use and is user-friendly. Even with the few things that I wish could change, it's been great as a whole.
Pros:
Overall the ease of use for Entrata is what I like most. When I first started, it didn't take long for me to get the hang of how Entrata works. The way everything is organized in the system as well is great and very user-friendly. The Entrata Help Center is very helpful, between the articles they have and customer support team they have.
Cons:
The part I like the least about Entrata is that when you're uploading documents or pictures, you can usually only upload one at a time. If it's just one or two documents, that's not too bad, but sometimes I'm uploading four or more items, and it slows me down when I'm trying to get my work done. There's also some times that Entrata is extremely slow, and it takes a long time for it to load a new page or load a document you're trying to look at or generate.
Entrata is the best!
Comments: I did not get the opportunity to take any training before being exposed to Entrata. I took all of the video training and test as well as watched all of the videos that were offered on the software. I am self taught and I have learned a lot from the support team. They are wonderful and talking me through tasks or helping me understand something. They are some of the best in the business.
Pros:
I have worked on many different management software and Entrata is my absolute favorite. I love everything about the software.
Cons:
I can't think of anything I don't like.
A product you could rely on!
Comments: It has been a smooth experience so far with the features of the product. Feature-wise it's all good but the response time could be improved.
Pros:
First of all, The deployment (transition) was seamless. Lease tracking, Occupancy Management, Rental tracking, and online payments are the best features to make your work easier. Easy to understand and use all features.End-to-End services from financial to Maintenance.
Cons:
The support system could have improved. Sometimes the response is delayed for critical issues.Hold durations are longer when agents are busy with other users. Need to wait till 8 AM MT to speak to the support desk.

Entrata Review 08.22
Comments: Overall the team is great, we had a few hiccups in the beginning of our roll out but with the number of properties we are migrating it was expected and all issues that arose were resolved timely.
Pros:
Software is user friendly, easy to use and navigate.
Cons:
Currently they cannot remit payments directly to out vendors, their development team is working on it and hopefully it will be available in the next year. We are using an outside product for invoices, payments etc.
Alternatives Considered:
Entrata is great software, especially for students. Just not as User friendly as would like.
Comments: Overall, I really do like Entrata as it covers much ground is the site staff have enjoyed it over Appfolio, Yardi, and Onesite. It could be more user friendly, but I see that they have been improving where they can on this. If you have a small company just make sure there is enough time devoted in being able to learn the features, and roll those features out to your site staff. Otherwise, there are a lot of awesome features that you don't use.
Pros:
Entrata has essentially all the features you would need, especially for student housing and/or with a big team (for lead management). Their inspections manager for student housing is a godsend (split between roommates, or only charge one).
Cons:
You must set up your community correctly. They separate Building , Units, and Spaces (for beds). This is necessary to have the features in student housing. However, they don't have all the searches setup properly, including Unit Inspections. I've asked them to add Building + Unit in searches. So for unit inspections, if you have Building 200, 300, 400...and the same Units nomenclature (A,B,C,D...) then if you search for a Unit or use the inspection manager, you might only see "A" and don't know which building you are in. ---But you lose some message center options if you do it the way we want. (we do property location abbreviation as building, and overall that gives us the best functionality.) -There search function isn't all encompassing. -Texting residents is very clamped down.
Efficient Property Onboarding with Entrata
Comments: Entrata greatly simplifies property onboardings with its user-friendly interface and comprehensive features, making the process more efficient and accurate. While the initial setup can be overwhelming and complex issues may take time to resolve, the overall benefits far outweigh these minor drawbacks.
Pros:
From an administrative perspective, Entrata has been incredibly helpful for property onboardings. The platform's user-friendly interface simplifies the transition process, covering everything from data migration to setting up essential systems like accounting, leasing, and maintenance. The step-by-step guidance and automation tools save a lot of time and effort, making the process much smoother. Real-time reporting and analytics offer valuable insights, helping us quickly address any issues.
Cons:
The initial setup can be a bit overwhelming due to the platform's extensive features. Additionally, while the support team is responsive, it sometimes takes a bit longer than expected to resolve more complex issues.
Ease of Entrata
Comments: I would say out of the other programs I have used before such as Yieldstar or Onesite, I would choose Entrata every time.
Pros:
Entrata is very user friendly. Its a mix of ease of onesite and accounting views like yardi. You can dig into the numbers on your financials and see exactly what is going where.
Cons:
Entrata is a very user-friendly program. Having new hires come onboard to learn it takes a fraction of the time.
Good operational management tool
Comments: i enjoy using the software. it is very useful. we have been noticing a high volume of user related issues on the resident end of the platform. We would like for the help desk to be more responsive to resident issues. often times the resident is directed back to the property level for assistance. we spend various time weekly attempting to troubleshoot resident issues that should be solved on the customer support end to assist the resident
Pros:
simplified solution for our daily operational needs
Cons:
the software can present challenges in our daily usage at times. some of the issues might be permission based related features also
Customer Support is iffy
Pros:
I enjoy that all aspects of property management are in sync with leasing, maintenance, reporting, and accounting all in one software.
Cons:
Customer service is not consistent and larger issues often don't get addressed. It seems like development team does not address bugs or glitches timely or ever. Specifically we have wanted to implement the PO system, but for close to 6 months this part of the software does not work (trying to import a catalog of PO items does not work). "Development team" has been looking into this for the entire 5-6 months and despite multiple follow-ups, there has been no changes or developments in this issue. Also - the "Gain Loss on Lease" and GPR does not make sense often and cannot be made sense of. When asking for support on how a number was determined, the support team does not offer much/any help.Lastly, customization of pricing through editing the pricing matrix on the "Pricing Dashboard" is clunky and inefficient.
Beginner friendly
Pros:
If you are new to property management it is easy to use and helps to stay organized and on tract
Cons:
Our system syncs with Yardi so we have to wait overnight for some details to show in both programs. Our detailed ledgers only show in Yardi but we post the payments in Entrata
Access Entrada on the Go!
Comments: I have used Entrata in the multifamily industry.
Pros:
The best thing about Entrada that puts it above many other property management softwares available is its accessibility. You can access Entrada on the go- ranging from a laptop, to tablet, to even your smart phone. It is a fantastic tool when you are out of the office, and need to complete tasks away from your desk.
Cons:
My biggest critique for Entrata would be to step up on their marketing game. What they have to offer is an incredible service, which I believe many more companies would benefit from. Unfortunately, most of the property managers I know use other software such as Yardi.
Entrata
Pros:
Entrata has a lot of options and is fairly easy to use once you get the hang of it. Support is always quick to get a hold of when calling and they answer or make sure you understand the answers first.
Cons:
A lot of things seem to be almost like a domino effect where if you choose one thing everything down the row is set and it's very moldable to adjust. I know this makes things easy with almost one or two clicks. I have sent in some request feature ideas but I have not seen them on their update emails yet.
Property Manager Review
Comments: 9/10 good property management software
Pros:
User friendly and good resident interface.
Cons:
Constant updates- hard to track changes in work flow
Alternatives Considered:
Comments
Comments: Very positive overall with some hiccups.
Pros:
The program is very simple to use and easy to implement for onboarding purposes.
Cons:
Self-service reporting formats would be a big plus. Ultimately the reports are the only connection owners have with the software so being able to create our own report format would be very useful.
overall good system
Comments: overall the system is good, i just wish it worked better more consistently.
Pros:
i do appreciate the user friendly system
Cons:
what i like least is the functionality, there are a lot of glitches that happen very often and customer support is less than helpful most times especially when its an urgent situation. It can take weeks to resolve at times.
You're gonna love it
Comments: Overall - love it. The Entrata team hosts regular webinars and calls for the system that are open to anyone, and are also available to help with tickets pretty quickly. It's rarely buggy for no reason - usually there is some other factor that makes sense, and it gets resolved quickly. I knew nothing when I started using Entrata, and through playing around with it in daily operations, I was able to learn a TON. Easy to find more and optimize, customize, and use the system to make the day easier.
Pros:
I love Entrata software, pretty much everything about it. It's easy to use, easy to adjust when errors occur, and super clear. It's easy to understand and navigate, and user friendly as well.
Cons:
Sometimes when asking for feedback, you'll essentially get spammed with requests. I don't super mind this because it happens maybe once a year for like a day, and then it resolves itself. But honestly, that's my only issue with it, which isn't bad at all and I am pretty okay with dealing with that haha.
