Reviews of Google Sheets
I Quit Excel!
Comments:
Very pleased with Google Sheets, we use it daily , we integrate it in many business operations its part of the ecosystem.
Great software, free and lightweight.
Ticks all the boxes.
the new updates with some AI integration are cool too!
Pros:
we've used Excel for years, it being the industry standard somehow, we found Google Sheets way better. Lightweight No setup required FREE! Easy collaboration - you just need a Google account. Third party apps and Google App Scripts, to further create custom functions. It's portable and available on cloud. one more thing, the UI is clean, you do not get lost and the function names make sense.. try that with Excel! good luck!
Cons:
Only thing i could think of from past experience, wish we could Lock or Disable "editors" from downloading or exporting the sheet.
Google Sheets Review
Comments: Really good, I like using Google sheets and I am confident when using Google sheets as I know it is very good and reliable when it comes to a number of formulas that I need to add up. It is also very fast and secure.
Pros:
Easy tool to use, adds up formulas for you itself. Really good and advanced features. Nice and quick, saves automatically. Amazing when creating tables and forumulas.
Cons:
One thing I don't like about Google sheets is there is no spell check, for someone who inputs a lot of data in to Google sheets and is typically a fast typer, spell check would be amazing to have. Cloud based so always has to have internet
Almost a phone version of Excel
Comments: Does do much but what it does. It does extremely well
Pros:
It’s easy to collaborate with, especially when running a poll or something similar
Cons:
Heavily tied to google Also found that it can be used to bypass MS Excel encrypted spreadsheets
Shareability and control makes Sheets stand apart from others
Comments: Whether my files are for an organization or for personal life, the shareability and control over access is the greatest feature Sheets has. I even have my parents using it! and it's free so it's a no-brainer to use for everything. Most of the foundational elements of a spreadsheet are there but being able to work in collaboration with others is such a game-changer from the old Excel days. I know it's simple but the value is immense.
Pros:
I love how shareable the files are. The control it provides over accessibility such as edit and read access, for your org colleagues, or per individual - is excellent. and don't forget about the file versions in case you need to go back to an earlier version.
Cons:
It's different from Excel and that has taken some time to get used to. I often find myself hopping over to Google to find a certain formula or to figure out how to find a certain feature - though I did recently find out that many of the same hot keys work on Sheets as they do with Excel.
Google Sheets is a Program for Daily use
Comments: I use Google Sheets for a lot. Calendars, Budgeting, Math problems, Planning and lists, etc. It is a daily part of my work.
Pros:
The software is free and handles most features that Excel performs.
Cons:
The presentation can be frustrating and doesn't allow for simple editing. A dark theme would go a long way.
Great for creating and managing invoices
Comments: It has been great for managing my invoice and setting up a template that I can edit each time I need to submit a new invoice.
Pros:
I love the auto save function as I don't have to worry about losing my work.
Cons:
I often need to add more rows above or below something and it has to be done one by one instead of adding a bunch at a time.
Google Sheets
Comments: Google Sheets is a versatile and complex spreadsheet app that excels in data management. As is a cloud base app, it can be accessed from any device as is stored in Google Drive.
Pros:
Sharing and collaboration is the main feature I like at Google Sheets as multiple users can edit and add data in the same time without the need for save. It has an intuitive interface and is easy to use and learn. Formulas are very well documented and easy to apply withing the sheets.
Cons:
The fact that is accessible just online although I would prefer live collaboration than offline access.
A more interactive version of Excel
Pros:
It's incredibly easy to collaborate with other members of the team. Sheets has all the standard functionality of Excel, but with the added benefit of enhanced collaboration. It's also very simple to create spreadsheets and add in scalable logic.
Cons:
Not really much at all! Sometimes there is an issue copying across Excel files and Sheets files.
Fantastic free tool
Pros:
It is just like Excel but free. Very intuitive.
Cons:
Nothing, Google sheets has been a fantastic tool.
Google Sheets Is The Best!
Pros:
It is easier to use the others on the market, I enjoy Google So Much More.
Cons:
Nothing, I shouldnt have wasted my time with competitor products.

Easy, lightweight yet powerful spreadsheet solution
Comments: Makes it easy to track projects and finances wherever I am, and pick up right where I left off. Essential tool for my business.
Pros:
Google Sheets is a super-powerful yet easy to use spreadsheet tool. I use it for everything from tracking client projects and content creation of my own materials to basic bookkeeping. I love the custom formulas and formatting I can set up, and know that even with these I am only scratching the surface of what it can do.
Cons:
Not all of its powerful features and functions are intuitive to figure out or even apparent on the surface, and figuring them out takes time and effort.
Nap with sheets>Office
Comments: Was apprehensive at first as an avid excel user, but now it would be difficult me to go back.
Pros:
it's like excel 2.0 with way more integrations/add ons and more freedom.
Cons:
uploading documents from excel sometimes causes issues with formatting or formulas

Comments: Perfect, I use sheets in so many different ways for so many different workflows that it is even difficult to summarize.
Pros:
I like how easy it is to not only use it as a spreadsheet, but also integrate with any Google Suite product, or even use it as a full-fledged app with an embedded script

Pros:
Ease of use, share and store all your data everywhere.

Great collaboration tool to collate and share data
Comments: Really useful for dropping data into, and checking/editing on the fly from mobile, sharing results or sheets with colleagues
Pros:
Editing with collaborators and sharing results, even at the same moment. We also import Google Forms data and integrate with Zapier to create docs and pdfs,
Cons:
Every now and then, there's something you can do in excel that sheets won't do, but this happens way less often now. Lots of new functionality
A Lot Better than MS Excel
Comments: Google Sheets is a well-rounded spreadsheet tool that excels in collaboration and ease of use. It's a fantastic choice for individuals and teams who need to organize data, perform calculations, and work together seamlessly.
Pros:
While both Google Sheets and Excel are powerful spreadsheet tools, Google Sheets shines for several reasons, especially for everyday users and collaborative teams. Real-time editing & free access make Sheets perfect for teams and anyone with a web connection. Auto-saving & cloud storage ensure peace of mind and accessibility. Strong formulas handle most everyday tasks. For everyday use, Sheets is fantastic. Easy sharing, auto-saving, and cloud access make it a breeze. It's great for most users and their spreadsheet needs.

I cannot find any right now. I am really happy using it. I use it daily.
An Indispensable Tool for the Agile Business Analyst
Comments: Google Sheets is my go-to tool for the majority of my business analysis work. It streamlines data management, analysis, collaboration, and presentation of findings. The benefits heavily outweigh the limitations for my needs.
Pros:
Google Sheets lives in the cloud, making it accessible anywhere with an internet connection and eliminating compatibility headaches. Google Sheets strikes a great balance between simplicity and the depth needed for serious analysis and reporting.
Cons:
Occasional Formula Quirks: Sometimes formulas behave unexpectedly or change in ways that require workarounds.
Keeping Data Organized
Pros:
Have used Google sheets for years for a multitude of applications. From keeping track of business expenses to personal data - it has become as staple in my administrative tool box.
Cons:
Could offer a few more features that excel has.
Easy to Use - Easy to Share
Comments: Positive, it works, it's low cost, and easy to use and understand
Pros:
It's extremely easy to share documents with other users, and allows for real time editing and sharing of documents. The restricted editing feature is a must have!
Cons:
The analytics and charting are lacking, could use some extra features and charts available in other products
Corporate Spreadsheets are a Breeze with Google Sheets
Comments: I enjoy working on Google Sheets, and the entire Google Workplace. I highly suggest the transition from other large platforms if you are considering it!
Pros:
The ability to collaborate on Google Sheets is the absolute best feature. As a company, we can share with one person or everyone in the company. You also have the option to set restrictions for who can edit and view. As a company, we use Google Sheets in so many aspects, so it is imperative to have these features!
Cons:
When I first started using Google Sheets I struggled with transitioning from Excel (a program I have used for years); however, the help tab and the ability to search for specific settings has been amazing! It is definitely worth the learning curve to be able to collaborate in real time!
Google Sheets
Comments: Overall, sheets is a nice alternative to Excel, is cloud based so is secure and accesible from everywhere. Formulas are amazing and you can do almost everything, import from another sheets, sort, filer, reports and many many more.
Pros:
I use it and enjoy it. Is simple to use and because is in the cloud i can access it from everywhere. Sharing it with others is really easy and the possibility to give permissions like just view or edit is a nice feature. Making graphs for different sheets is easy and exporting the data to other software is easy.
Cons:
Cons?! is free, is powerful is good. No cons for Google Sheets.
Super useful!
Pros:
I love the ease of use and how it is more user-friendly than Excel.
Cons:
There can be a bit of a learning curve if one is more familiar with Excel as they are very similar, but the placement of some tools is in different locations.
Google Sheets
Comments: Google Sheets is the most accessed app from my business, is used for everything where data is needed to be stored and processed.
Pros:
The best feature is that is an online based app and it can be accessed from any devices and places. It works great, is fast and can handle large amount of data and formulas. Another important thing is that multiple users can access it and work simultaneous, it keeps logs on who edited every cell, chats on every spreadsheet and comments.
Cons:
There are no cons for Google sheets, it works flawless.
