Exploring Azure: Strengths and Challenges in Enterprise Cloud Computing

Comments: My overall experience using Azure has been outstanding. with Pros outweighing the cons. My favourite aspect of the product being Scalability and Flexibility.

Pros:

I have used Microsoft Azure for several years, and its prowess has always left me impressed. The ease of managing variable workloads successfully and be able to scale resources up or down as necessary, the platform has changed things significantly by being just that; -scalable and flexible. It also supports a hybrid cloud, thus integrates well with our on-premises systems. The compatibility maintains operational consistency. Azure has a broad array of other services, Such as AI, ML, and analytics, that helps us to innovate and stay ahead in such a competitive market of Banking and Finance. It Integration with Microsoft’s ecosystem such Office 365 and this has significantly boosted our team’s productivity. The global infrastructure of the platform ensures low latency at all times.Also it helps us meet Compliance, this is because of Microsoft's continuous focus on Security and Regulatory Standards in making Azure a much more trusted choice.

Cons:

One thing I dislike about Azure is it's costing complexity. Scalability is readily available and if it is misused, you might end up accruing unexpected costs that go over your enterprise infrastructure budgets.

Good for backup services

Comments: Fine, mainly working whit backup services that shown to be stable and easy to use

Pros:

for closer access points to the cloud normally the stability is better than other cloud services proven. overall consume is easy to check

Cons:

constant changes in product names and descriptions

Seamless, Secure, and Reliable Solutions

Comments: Azure provides a user-friendly, secure, and dependable platform that meets all requirements and more. However, frequent updates, changes, and resource movements within Azure can be disruptive, suggesting areas where smoother transitions could improve the overall user experience.

Pros:

Everything you need and more , easy to use. Safe and reliable

Cons:

Too many changes all the time, and things they keep moving or relocating constantly.

A necessary tool that can open up your account management and network management from anywhere

Comments: It is is robust directory services that gets its strength from being in the cloud and not tied to internal servers or connections. It is a industry standard user management solutions that allows us to run account lifecycles and connect with other software and programs.

Pros:

One of its greatest strengths is that it is universally used and able to connect and be used with almost all software and programs out there.

Cons:

Maybe the biggest con is that Microsoft products are not always the easiest to configure for special circumstances and Azure would fall into this category sometimes.

The Azure Cloud

Pros:

We can create VM, also can manage Paas,Saas,Iaas services through azure

Cons:

Pricing model and features not like AWS services.

An all-round great product.

Comments: It’s been a good product. Helps with the end to end process.

Pros:

The UI presentation in addition to ease of integration with other applications

Cons:

I have not found any downside so far. Azure has been helpful in my place of work.

Needs more consistency

Comments: Frustrating due to issues with services not be reliable

Pros:

Ability to quickly deploy cloud infrastructure and scale as needed

Cons:

Inconsistent UI and automation options across different services. CosmoDB is a terrible service, lots features missing from UI and needs a service request. Very expensive. Stability of services poor, I get alerts for failures of Azure services almost every week

Best of Breed Cloud Service Provider in the Region

Comments: It's a world of extended solutions. We have not encountered a case that has no option throughout the Azure. It's a reliable service, we have not experienced any significant downtime throughout the services. Gui is superb fast. Copilot enhancements streamline our management and operations as well as increasing our visibility. Powershell and bash usage is like a Swiss knife, as my team have already deploying operations through the scripts. Templates are straightforward. The Azure marketplace shines in quality, ARM templates are uptodate and detailed steps included. Our devops team love the Azure environment as for the AKS and github usage.

Pros:

Dedicated Microsoft Project Team including cloud solutions architects for Azure Projects. Migration from on premise to Azure CSP is professional oriented not only includes just the overall migration plan; It covers all perspectives like compliance , governance and infra recommendations. The most highlighted element is the blueprint workshops that provide a total view of all the aspects of a transition. EA agreement covers clouds items as well as on premise environment. Azure AD/Entra is functioning perfectly and it's a smooth connectivity with on premise DCs through Azure AD Connect. Office 365 is already included in the general service options. Secure score is a real game changer in terms of metrics and fwups.

Cons:

It's not the least cost effective CSP provider. There are hidden costs in the environment that we can not find out what they are. There are also ghost costs. Every item is a cost in the CSP. Free services are frequently converted to a paid service model. Another issue in Azure, it has all the solutions inside however they are not the best or breed compared to other.

Best Contributor to Simplifying Data Extraction and Collection

Comments: Microsoft Azure enabled us to simplify data collection from forms and contracts and transfer it to all supporting applications with high efficiency.

Pros:

I liked how Microsoft Azure recognizes all types of documents, I liked how it accurately transfers data from them and keeps it organized without errors. I liked the logs that include all the entries and document the original document and the data collected from it. I liked the efficiency of Microsoft Azure in integrating with any other application, to transfer data to it seamlessly.

Cons:

Data extraction using Microsoft Azure is very fast, and I did not encounter any crashes.

Azure is great for anyone!

Comments: I have always enjoyed Azure and will continue to use it as it makes my life easier.

Pros:

It is a great place to build and organize an infrastructure and workspace to fit the company needs.

Cons:

I love Azure in how they manage their backups, their cloud storage, and pay for what you use.

Comments: Overall Experience was great! and Really Easy to use and specially The study materials given in that was really a good experience was good. I am really happy!

Pros:

There is ton's of feature I would like to tell. but most of the feature I usually used is about the AI and Virtual Machine's It was really easy to setup just have few clicks and it will setup!

Cons:

Overall the experience was great but the problem... well there is problem, May be i am the only one I getting that. When I delete the Virtual Machine and Containers after that I didn't use azure for months because of my exam's suddenly I got mail from Microsoft and it says your bill amount 300 INR I was surprised why ? I deleted all machines but when I logged in there was some resources running on , To be honest idk it was a glitch or My mistake

Comments: Overall an extremely powerful and well integrated service. With the right licensing you can build and operate a well moving and redundant system.

Pros:

Lots of quick integrations and prebuilt features for bringing on other tools and building a microsoft based stack.

Cons:

Hidden pay walls with various pieces of services hidden behind tiering and no good definition of what goes where.

Azure many services

Comments: Great over all experience with a lot of services.

Pros:

Has a lot of services which can be used very easy and are not hard to understand and the documentation is very good.

Cons:

Sometimes the products can be a bit buggy and its hard to troubleshoot it.

Comments: I love able to spin up a server a Linux server or Windows or whatever I like wherever I'm at easy to maintain

Pros:

It was pretty easy to do scale resourcing either up or down for cost efficient also global distribution

Cons:

As always it could always be cheaper but that's just me complaining about something but overall I get

What I like most about Microsoft Azure is its ease of use and intuitive UI. Navigating through Azure's portal feels seamless, with everything well-organized and easily accessible, whether I'm on a desktop, tablet, or even a mobile device. The centralized dashboard makes managing resources simple, even across multiple projects. Azure also shines in providing actionable recommendations for optimizing performance, especially for web applications and databases. Its built-in analytics and insights tools are invaluable for pinpointing areas to enhance speed, efficiency, and overall user experience. When it comes to storage, Azure is robust and versatile, offering a range of scalable options that integrate smoothly with other services. Overall, Azure delivers a comprehensive, user-friendly experience that empowers me to manage, optimize, and scale my resources with confidence.

Cons:

Azure’s cost structure confusing and challenging to manage, which can make it difficult to budget or anticipate expenses accurately. Also, while Azure’s hybrid cloud capabilities are powerful, setting them up is complex and often requires significant expertise​

Powerful Hybrid offering high developer productivity

Comments: I like it very much for its high availability and redundancy in hybrid cloud applications.

Pros:

1. It offers improved data security 2. It's highly scalable with excellent DR functionality & analytics 3. It offers a suite of compliance-oriented frameworks that conform to major regulations

Cons:

1. Complexity and high training costs. 2. It has high cold start latency 3. There's no easy mechanism for automated backups

Comments: Since we use many Microsoft applications and services, the use of Azure makes it easy to integrate all the services/products.

Pros:

Azure provides us with trustful cloud infrastructure, Microsoft products, and developer tools.

Cons:

When compared with the cloud services from other companies, the cost of Azure is high.

Cons:

The Bastion concept was very confusing given that it's a managed service that still has to interact with a virtual meeting, instead of just being a virtual machine that users could manage.

Comments: Overall experience is amazing, Azure one of the best if not the best platform to manage groups, users, apps etc.

Pros:

Entra ID where I can handle every single user under in my enterprise environment.

Cons:

App registrations is not really intuitive
