None of open-source CMS offered a fully customizable solution. Even the most flexible CMS (like WordPress) needed external plug-ins with no proven stability to manage customized field. ProcessWire is so far the only open-source CMS that allow to design based on your specific needs, with no prepacked templates. ProcessWire is not for everybody, some technical skill in web development are required, but it delivers the best approach to fully customized solutions, indeed.
