Comments: Adopted this to several businesses 4 years ago and have never looked back. Easy to use for me and my staff. Ideal for holiday planning and planning rotas in advance

Been using this since day one and have set it up for several different businesses, really easy to use and really efficient

Doesn't work well enough with i-devices which can be frustrating at times. If that was fixed it would all be brilliant

Positive experience
Comments: Overall using the website is positive and very useful for our service.
Pros:
It is easy to use and simple. You can add the shifts and comments and personalised it to your needs.
Cons:
Coping shifts is somehow complicated if you share the page with other services.
Alternatives Considered:
Great value for price
Comments: Good for the purpose we are using, but very difficult to integrate other administrative services. You need multiple softwares to do an HR admin.
Pros:
A relatively easy to use employee management and scheduling solution for a reasonable price. Ideal for small remote teams and for office environment.
Cons:
Outdated platform design, some features are challenging to use. It is costly to use for multiple departments of the same company. No API connection to my understanding and no mobile access which makes it impossible to adapt in non-office like environment. Some reporting features missing, others are not useful for remote operations.
Alternatives Considered:

Comments: Been using it for over 10yrs & very comfortable with it, yet still discovering further functionality on a daily basis.
Pros:
Simple & Clear Visuals, simple functionality
Cons:
N/A - Nothing negative to say, other than in our case specifically perhaps, ease & depth of integration with Xero, there are other packages perhaps further developed in that regard.
Simple and cost effective
Comments: We moved from an alternative software but Findmyshift has been much simpler to use and a much better price too.

Have been using this software for three rosters for about 5 years
Comments: we manage rosters over 3 sits (soon to be 4). However the cost of paying for multiple rosters that do not link to our paysystem is becoming prohibitive and we are actively looking for an integrated payroll / roster / timeclock package.
Pros:
easily accessible for staff, good visuals and easy to use. Some staff are abler to link to the phone calendars which is helpful
Cons:
The phone app is not great for me so always use desktop version on my phone, which can be problematic. there should be a setting that forces automatic refresh as sometimes staff will be looking at a roster and not realise it has changed.

A great Staff Rota System App for small businesses
Comments: A great tool which has been invaluable to our small business.
Pros:
Such a great application for managing your staff, very easy to use, a great asset to our business and our day to day running of our operation.
Cons:
Pity you cannot edit rotas from your phone in the app if you are an administrator.

Comments: We have used Fingerpick My Shift for several years, no hesitation to keep renewing.
Pros:
Love the ease of scheduling shifts and for staff to request leave. Permissions allow you to streamline your scheduling options to your company needs.
Cons:
No consolidation in reports in the hours section. When entering information into the notes section in employee details, when you update profile the information can sometimes disappear from the notes.

Comments: Having used FMS now for over 5 years, I think its great.
Pros:
So easy to use and love the reports too.

I prefer the desktop site to the mobile app.
Stick with it, it gets better
Comments:
It's not the best rota software I have used, but for the price, its really good value for money.
The back end is complicated and difficult to get your head around, but once you do, you can truly use it as a one stop shop for everything. The front end for the user is wonderfully simple.
Pros:
The mobile app simplicity really was key for us. We are a museum who work with a large number of volunteers, many of whom aren't computer literate and don't use their phones for anything other than calls or texts. We had to ensure that they could access the schedules easily and understand them The messaging system is a lovely surprise and works well - as does the notice board. We also like its flexibility to store extra facts and info, so over time it has changed from being just our scheduling software to our HR hub, with all our staffing information (vehicle info, references etc) and policies and procedures stored alongside our weekly team updates.
Cons:
Some of the menus and reports are unnecessarily complicated with way too many options. Some of the office staff have struggle to gain access to the information they need. The reporting side is clumsy and difficult to use. Some really simple, obvious changes can make a big difference but these changes don't seem to be being considered in any software changes to the program. For example, when looking on the mobile app, shifts are listed by the alphabetical order of first names rather than the actual times (or even the area!) of the shift. This is pretty ludicrous for a scheduling program.
We have been using this website for a few years for our busy cafe/bar, a great site!
Pros:
Easy to use and set up. All of the staff find it a lot easier to log in and check shifts than rely on printouts. It makes it a lot easier to make up rotas when you can see a couple of weeks at a time and can see the overall picture to juggle shifts about, can also copy and paste which makes it easier. Also makes it a lot easier when trying to find cover, you can see easily who is available and find their contact details. Great for keeping track of holidays, reports for calculating wages, keeping a record of who worked when and making/calculating small changes such as if someone left early. It's good that it sends an email to staff each time the rota is published, we don't use the 'accept' function or messages as we just have a small workforce, but I can imagine it would be handier if there were a lot of employees. I know some of the staff also use the mobile site.
Cons:
Not really found much wrong with it, have never had to contact customer support. I think occasionally when looking at the staff view the times/shifts/staff names haven't lined up properly if it's zoomed in or a funny resolution.

FindMyShift for Service Contractor
Comments: We love it and use it everyday. For our company it is a tremendously useful planning tool.
Pros:
Before using my shift we were using a white board to schedule individual employees. Many of our projects/jobs are only 1-2 day duration projects and work flows are changing constantly, even hour by hour in some cases. We juggle keeping our employees working weekly so the ability to create a job in the system put it on the calendar and then if we need to move it its simply a copy and paste. We can plan out months of work in advance and then as we get closer we can fine tune and adjust.
Cons:
I wish it had a better feature for displaying the schedule. We update the schedules from our office and we have a Large Monitor in our shop where the employees gather in the morning. Right now we have created a user just for the shop TV and we sign into that user so that the employees can view their schedules in the shop. FindMyShift does have a broadcast link (not sure if that's what you call it) however it does not update instantaneously and therefore does not work for us.
Does what we need for managing 30 staff across 10 locations
Comments: We have 15+ 'rooms' (8 surgeries and a number of shared admin offices) and around 30 staff. Some staff (e.g. dentists) not only need a room allocating to them they also need a nurse allocating to work with them. Other staff may just need space to work - for example allocating receptionists to one of 3 receptions, allocating admin staff to an office to work in, etc. We used to do this with spreadsheets but as we expanded it became unwieldy and prone to errors. FindMyShift has proved to be an economical way of us both planning who is where on any particular day but also communicating this easily to the staff.
Pros:
The ability to access the software from anywhere with just a browser is the biggest plus for us. Clear easy to understand graphical interface goes a long way too. The support from FindMyShift has always been fast and helpful.
Cons:
Sometimes screens can be a little 'busy' - for example the time off planner. However it is hard to think quite what could be done better - there is inherently a lot of information to display.

we have been using find my shift for many years and find that it is a very effective and easy to use
Comments: The user friendly system is very beneficial to all staff and the excel reports for the hours worked helps me to generate my timesheets for my invoices.
Pros:
The software is very user friendly for me and my work force and there is a smart phone app which also makes it more accessible for my staff. I find the reports which you can generate from the system very useful when translating my hours in to invoices for my customers.
Cons:
(not really cons just suggestions)If you finish a staff member on your rota's, they cannot see old shifts. It would be handy to have two finish dates one so that they are not on the rota anymore and one so that you can't schedule them from that date onwards. For example, we also use the finish box for current staff as a reminder for when their SIA badge runs out and we can't schedule them without them having a badge to work not necessarily because they so not work for our company anymore, most of the time they still need to see past shifts or log on to help them do invoices.

exceptional value for money - Mobile app needs improvement
Comments: We're a cafe/bar employing a team of 20+. We use the back office constantly - amending hours and shifts is a daily chore made simple and easy with Find My Shift. The ability to have a working calendar months in advance at our staffs fingertips is priceless. Barely having scratched the surface in regards to reporting functions, from an administrative point of view it is exceptional. The only issues we've faced are in regards to our staff accessing and using it themselves. The mobile site isn't great and the last time I checked the app to help a staff member out, it was awful.
Pros:
We love having access across our management team to the reporting features. It cuts our work time down dramatically being able to see all of our figures laid out.
Cons:
Our staff find it difficult to use the app - most being quite young, won't open find my shift in a browser: they will go straight to the app. Even when opened in a browser, if they're using the mobile-site it is still not easy enough for them to see who is working and when. We also have a problem with the "reject shift" feature every time a new staff member starts with us: they tend to believe that working is optional as a result of seeing the option.

A great easy to use product
Comments: its been brilliant. this is the 4th Venue that I've introduced Findmyshift to.
Pros:
the online roster system is fantastic to use, very easy to navigate and update.
Cons:
the customisation of reports, and when a staff member wants to request only a part of the day off, they have to select the whole day.
It's changed our world
Comments:
Like many other businesses, we survived for years using the good old fashioned spreadsheet to give us a visual planning tool for our staff assignment. Initially, we trialed Find My Shift purely for the ability to share the roster amongst our management team.
Only when we took the leap from the old spreadsheet feature did we realize how much more we could achieve. The facilities feature was a pretty cool tool but then we started to share the roster with our staff. To say our staff communication has been revolutionized would be modest. It's changed our world and made a significant contribution to a culture of shared info - something we didn't think we were lacking until we tried it with Find My Shift.
After that, we just kept exploring. We're now running all timesheets from Find My Shift - and it's taken a whole day off the payroll process!
But still the best feedback from the team actually came from the partner of one of our guys - "this is awesome, I can now find out what you're doing this weekend - it feels like we've got control of our life back".......thanks guys, love your work!

Shared access, individual crew login, timesheets, facilities.....so much we love
Cons:
Would love to see a better mobile app - perhaps that staff can use for timesheets? Also, would love to be able to code time to a job (cost center)

Findmyshift is definitely worth trying
Comments: Allowing the staff to access their shifts from their phone, and using the hours reporting for payroll.
Pros:
We were able to try out before committing to a years subscription. The staff hours are easy to download for wages It is very clear looking back how many hours each staff is working
Cons:
The main problem is when staff put in there hours. If they put in 9 - 5 with an extra gap or any other minor error it will not feed through onto the summary. So each week we need to count the number of shifts each person has and count the number of records on the report section. Each week there is at least one error. This would be corrected by not allowing or having a seperate box for comments.

Have been very happy with Find My Shift
Comments: Many. All in the review
Pros:
It is easy to use, easy to enter the schedule in and you don't have to follow an exact protocol for the times, etc. I like that I can email everyone at once right from the program, the templates make it convenient to add the schedule weeks in advance, I love the time off request feature, I like being able to change the font colors and the back ground colors. I also love that employees can check their schedules at home from their phones. No one can say they "looked at an old schedule" or didn't know about a shift because its all right there(unless you forget to publish a change...)
Cons:
The color chart is hard to tell what color you are choosing. I wish there were an option to "Publish all" So I don't have to highlight a week, then publish, then highlight another week, then publish, etc if I put 8 weeks of schedule in at once. Its a little slow to save/publish

Instant Staff Scheduling for all in a single platform
Pros:
Everyone can access his or her rosters in real time. Ability to request changes and apply leaves as well as supervisors to plan staff scheduling.
Cons:
The initial setup is a bit confusing when understanding of the rota and timesheets. Work efficiency will be increased once get familiar with the UI and logic.
Alternatives Considered:
Great software, simple to use
Comments: We would recommend Find My Shift to any small business wanting a simple solution which doesn't cost the earth.
Pros:
We've found Find My Shift easy to pick up and share amongst our team. It's relatively inexpensive for a critical job!
Cons:
The user experience is sometimes a bit clunky and could be improved.
