Active Net from YMCA program director

5.0 6 years ago

Comments: It is great for Ymca use. We use it for membership, programs and childcare. I can use apps and online features to make it easy to check children in and out and parents love the ease of the website for online payments, registration and account viewing.

Pros:

I love the easy interface. It is user friendly and intuitive. There are many functions and many ways to get what you need done.

Cons:

There is no “shopping cart” to register for an activity and let them pay later. You can do a payment plan but not a save for later type.

Thank you for taking the time to give us a review, Chelsea, it's great to hear ACTIVE Net has worked out so well for your YMCA. We really appreciate the 5-stars!

We love ActiveNet!

4.0 2 months ago New

Pros:

We love the flexibility of ActiveNet. It has many, many great features and allows us to really tailor build courses and private lessons that we need. The newer online customer interface allowing registrations online, the online calendar, and online donations are all very user friendly and attractive. We have pivoted toward directing people straight to ActiveNet online rather than maintaining too much of this information on our own website. We also rely on ActiveNet to process our teacher payroll and this integration is critical to us.

Cons:

We love that ActiveNet is aggressively trying to improve, and we understand that they have to prioritize improving features that benefit the most users. However, there are some critical flaws in some of the software programming that really need addressing, particularly around Payroll and payment acceptance. These need to be modernized and a full review of the logic of the software and functionality.

Active Net Review

3.0 2 months ago New

Comments: We use Facility Scheduling and POS components - Scheduling works fine for our bookable spaces, and for the most part the POS works as well.
Overall frustration is with Accounting side and Financial Reporting side of the software which does not provide what we need.
When we were sold ActiveNet we were told it had ALL THE FUNCTIONALITY of MaxGalaxy (that we were using) plus additional features etc....this has not been the case as specifically I can not get accurate accounting info , system does not generate invoices, receipts show lack of details etc..

Pros:

Scheduling calender to book events into spaces is easy to use - adding customers is relatively easy. Printing schedule is easy. POS features are user friendly and simple to set up.

Cons:

Accounting is terrible - impossible to find most basic revenue information for bookable spaces. Many features simply don't work - ie Departmental Revenue - exists in ActiveNet nothing generates. System doesnt generate invoices - only permits. Receipts for payment show no detail about dates and times paid for - only refers back to Permit Clients hate the receipts as cant see what is paid and what is outstanding when have multiple dates on single permit. ActiveNet SUpport does not always respond to tickets generated and dont follow up.

Great software for Parks and Recreation administration!

5.0 2 months ago New

Comments: Overall, ActiveNet has been very helpful with how we run our programming on the administrative end of things! Highly recommend.

Pros:

ActiveNet is relatively user friendly and easy to use once you get it set-up in a way that will work for your needs. I like how streamlined it is to cancel and refund a rental reservation or an activity registration. I also like how easy it is to produce registrations - you can customize based on what you want to include. Lots of options.

Cons:

I don't like the templates for the reports - specifically for rosters and attendance sheets. I wish there was a way to customize them more so they wouldn't include information that is not relevant and so that we could stretch out the columns so email addresses were all on one line.

SPR Review

4.0 last month New

Comments: Overall the product has a wide range of services and works well. There are needs that emerge with our changing customer base that would be great if we could more easily address (ie the signing up/sitting on multiple activities supply and demand issue).

Pros:

We like the wide range of modules available in the system.

Cons:

Reporting had to pay more to access more granular and/or information that needed to be scrubbed/manipulated. Some functions are broken and then reside with their Dev team. We continue to push items online, but need more configuration opportunities to do so.
