I ordered on Saturday July 26. My vet's office approved in the morning of Monday July 28. The product did not even ship until the evening of Friday August 1 AFTER I followed up via email, and it will not arrive until Tuesday August 5th (a week and a half after I ordered, and outside of their 1-5 day arrival promise). There was no response to my email requesting an update on my order. Vetcove misleadingly promises food will arrive within 1-5 days, but this is the actual shipping time. They make no mention of their processing time. Evidently, that processing time is not included in their arrival estimate time. For my order, the processing time was 5 business days in addition to the 1-5 days for ground shipping. During this time, my cat ran out of his prescription food. Vetcove claims to compete with Chewy in terms of user experience. Chewy would have had our food here within 3 days of ordering. Thankfully, we were able to get the food from our vet's office at an increased price. Do not use Vetcove for anything remotely urgent or time-sensitive. It's unacceptable to take so long to send pet prescriptions with absolutely no communication. My vet now charges a processing fee in order to send prescriptions to Chewy as opposed to Vetcove, which I will happily pay if it means I never have to rely on Vetcove again. I am able to price shop and check backorders for every distributor all at the same time. I can also easily find alternatives for backordered items. We are part of a buying group and therefore get discounts on many products. Vetcove shows both the "regular" retail price and the discounted price, which is very helpful when pricing out items. You can also purchase directly from Vetcove rather than going to each individual website. I don't utilize that feature as I place my orders through our PIMS, but on the rare occasions I do shop online, it is very helpful.
