"Very Easy to Use"
Pros: It's really easy to use. Being able to email pictures of receipts form my phone directly to my account is very convenient. The text recognition is better than I was expecting and it makes it super easy to clean up expenses and add them to a report.
Cons: The errors that get thrown when a business condition is not met sometimes seem a little unpolished. For example, if it warns you to include a note, and you include a note, the warning doesn't go away.

"It has been frustrating"
Pros: Just looks "Pretty". As an end user, since I have been using this program in our company, I haven't found anything with Chrome River which made me think what a great program.
Cons: Not user friendly, at all. It takes the Chrome River support help weeks to respond to your request. The features that Chrome River offers is too restricted and they are not tailored with our needs in the company. The final report is too long and keeps repeating the same information in different line entries. Overall, the previous simple program which our company used was much more user friendly and easy to process and use.

"Great Expense Tracking Tool"
Pros: This software make it more efficient for the finance team to process expense reports and pay our employees. The direct pay feature is great so that everyone can get paid electronically. It has cut down on the amount of checks we have to cut each month. It's pretty user friendly, and most people were able to just go in and figure out how to submit expense reports without any/much training.
Cons: Getting a report in order to get the information into our accounting software (QuickBooks) has not been easy. I wish there was a way to transfer the information directly into QuickBooks because the entering of the journal entry is still a bit cumbersome.

"Good experience once you get to know the system"
Pros: I like the ease of use, the gui, selections, single sign on. The new ticketing system is better, but i still like submitting tickets through email

"Excellent Flexibility"
Pros: What I like most about Chrome River is its ability to meet our needs. We have a few requirements which others could not meet, however Chrome River could do so because of how their system is built

"Works great for its purpose"
Comments: Overall the system does a great job at handling expense reporting.
Pros: I like the mobile app and how easy it is to upload receipts. The system does. Good job at allocation as well.
Cons: I don’t like having to go into the support center to enter a support tickets. I would rather email it to a support desk.

"Love getting to go Paperless!"
Pros: I find it very end user friendly. Also, I love the return feature for reports - users get a notification instantly that they need to fix something and can re-submit as soon as they are done.
Cons: I feel like we are constantly running in to little problems or errors. The customer support usually responds quickly, but it's a hassle to have to put in a help ticket for every little thing.

"Easy to use"
Comments: The front end users now have more control over their submissions and can track them along the way until they are paid without having to inquire with finance separately. Also it ensures that the appropriate person has seen and approved an expense reducing the amount of cost transfers.
Pros: Fairly easy to use and the visual flyouts for expense types.
Cons: The error messages often do not appear until you try and submit, it would be helpful if they popped up while in the field that is an issue.

"Easy to use"
Pros: The ease of use, even if it's your first expense you will know what to click on and how to submit. If you miss something, there is an error message and tells what exactly what's wrong. You can also e-mail your receipts to CR.
Cons: The reporting tool within the product us slow and confusing. To create a new reports, deciding what fields you want is not straighforward. After you do get something to run, performance is slow overall.

"A good upgrade to our Expense Reconciling Procedures"
Comments: We use Chrome River to reconcile all Purchasing Card transactions as well as all Travel transactions. It is much easier to use than the previous system and has great reporting features and the ability to go back and review previous transactions and documentation is fantastic!
Pros: Very easy to use, has a lot of report functionality and can add notes and attachments super easily as needed.
Cons: Limited on approval routing, but not so much that it has been difficult to adjust to.

Pros: Ease of use was a big priority for us and Chrome River delivered. I found CR was extremely easy to use for the expense reporter as well as for the approver.
Cons: Some of the admin setup was difficult to understand in terms of how to configure relationship attributes.

"Expense software with flexibility for customization while still considering the user experience"
Comments: Overall, I am very satisfied with the product. Our employees are able to use it with minimal training.
Pros: The navigation is very user intuitive and there are apps to help simplify expense entry and receipt capture. It has very robust reporting capabilities and support documentation on their community.
Cons: Support can sometimes take longer than expected. They are transitioning more items to be configurable by an administrator but there are still updates that need to be completed by the vendor.

Pros: The best part of the program is the ease in teaching others how to use. We have users that come in, not knowing anything about the program and with one training and 1 or 2 uses, they make it work.
Cons: The settings section in the new platinum version is not very user friendly.

"Chrome River for a lawfirm"
Comments: We no longer need to track paper expense reimbursements and our entire approval process is streamlined. Our attorneys like that they don't need to keep a file of receipts when they travel, they can take a picture and throw away.
Pros: Chrome River is always making updates, changes and new ways to customize the software to fit our business.
Cons: Ad hoc reporting is not user intuitive but the standard reports are useful for the majority of needs.

"Chrome River has made my work much easier!"
Pros: As an administrative assistant, my favorite function of Chrome River is that the information for all the dozens of people I support is located in one place. This function has made my work much simpler and easier than it was when we had to authorize and reimburse travel by hard copy.
Cons: It would be nice if Chrome River had a function where I could duplicate pre-approval reports or expense reports from one user to another. Frequently, our staff travels in groups and have identical expense reports for their reimbursements (e.g. meal per diems) and I frequently end up submitting the same expense report for several employees.

Comments: We are very happy with this software as we knew their were some deficiencies and this software has made it easier to identify it and to eliminate it moving forward.
Pros: The software is easy to use. It enables expense owners the ability to submit their expense reports quicker and on time. Using the snap app makes it more quicker to submit receipt directly to your receipt library. The OCR capabilities to recognize receipts and auto populating the information reduces staff time . The mileage expense reports are amazing. Chromeriver uses Google Maps to calculate the travel trips. Employees just need to enter the destination points and the calculations are done for them. Setting up the routing for expense reporting is simple and the HelpDesk support from Chromeriver is quick to respond and tailor things to your needs.
Cons: I have no issues at this time with the software

"Designed to fit each companies wants."
Pros: What I like most about the software is that we have the ability to customize to meet our companies needs, while also being able to take out a large part of manual tasked by having reports routed automatically within the platform to lessen some of the administrative burdens.
Cons: What I would say is least liked about the product is that there are some functions that would be beneficial but are not yet envisioned, but with the ability to provide enhancement requests I am very positive that if it is possible that Chrome River will eventually have whatever it is added to the platform.

"Mercury is wonderful!"
Pros: The new receipt functions within Mercury are a life saver for the auditing process. We love the way it crops and attaches the receipts to individual line items, it makes auditing a breeze rather than going through countless pages of receipts. Its a huge time saver and that is important as we have such a high volume.

"Chrome River Expense - Expense reports made easy"
Comments: Chrome River has been a great company to work with. They are always open to hear about features that would make our lives easier and try to accommodate when possible. We have since started using their Invoice capture service to help automate AP even more and the results have been fantastic.
Pros: This software lets our users attach receipts hands free by either emailing receipts or using the Chrome River SNAP app. This allows delegates to go in and create expense reports for our users who would rather have their assistant perform this practice. The software is also usable on any computer, smart phone or tablet allowing users to work from anywhere they have an internet connection. Chrome River is also integrated with our Corporate credit card (US Bank) so transactions come through showing our users exactly which items need to be submitted. The product also integrates with Uber, Lyft, and Spot Hero so those receipts are automatically sent to Chrome River.
Cons: We have not had any major issues with the software. The OCR function for reading receipts does not always work as well as you would like but this only makes users select a different expense type than is suggested.

Comments: Overall ChromeRiver Expense is a great tool to use for invoicing and expense management!
Pros: Once the compliance and rules are set-up behind the scenes for this system is it really a more efficient and easy tool to use. It helped streamline the reconciliation process for our P-Card and Travel Card programs. Users really appreciate that all the accounting information needed to process payment for expenses out of departmental budgets is readily accessible
Cons: the reporting tool is not easy to use. We would really like to see more adhoc reports provided to higher eds and other companies that utilize this system.
