Good but room for improvement

Comments: Generally fine and offers the functions that you would expect.

Pros:

Practical site for submission of coursework and provide feedback to students.

Cons:

The website is not as user friendly as it could be and can run slow some times.

I absolutely love Moodle! I used to use it at university and it was It is such an easy way to organise courses, reading lists, deadlines and submit assignments!

Cons:

No negative feedback at all! It's a great which really helped organise and submit assignments.

Pros:

The smart way for compelte tasks during a training or school.

The interface is not the most pretty one.

Moodle, your best educational tool

Comments: I had an overall positive experience. Moodle was not hard to learn, its easy to navigate and allows for a positive user experience

I like how easy it is to navigate. It also allows anyone to set up their site as they see fit, making it really convenient

I wouldn't say I like orange colours. I feel like orange is too much

Moodle is a hero!

Comments: We have used this product for many years and our institution has grown with it! We are glad we went with this learning management system oppose to others because of its efficiency and success it has brought to us.

Pros:

This product enhances the learning environment for both our students and teachers. With its ability to integrate other platforms such as panopto and element, students are able to collaborate and communicate efficiently in their courses.

Cons:

On the faculty side of moodle, it has been a challenge to migrate courses seamlessly from other platforms. We have found workarounds but have been tedious. With other products having a more modern look, moodle may need a user interface revamp to attract more customers and enhance the classroom experience.

Fabulously customizable and accessible!

Comments: A great experience, have used many times as student and host and it is always mostly easeful - any hiccups are easily addressed by connecting with the Moodle team and it is highly customizable.

Pros:

It's great that it can be accessed via mobile, website or even desktop application for on-the-go access to classes, courses, files and more. It's easy to use and to customize.

Cons:

The internal email feature can sometimes be finicky or not send to all students, and Moodle does seem to have a connectivity problem if students are using hotmail, outlook or yahoo instead of gmail.

Comments: I teach classes as part of my small business. With Moodle, I can reach more customers by being able to teach those classes online. It is easy to set up my courses no matter if they are live on-line or static classes. The reporting lets me know who has attended the classes and captures their data so that I can send them updates on new classes they might be interested in.

Pros:

I love the fact that Moodle is free. I teach classes with Moodle and since I am a small business, Moodle allows me to pass that savings onto my customers allowing me to be more competitive with the larger companies.

Cons:

I wish it had more training on the integrated AI function. I think if I understood it better, I would use that function more.

Moodle is the way to go!

Moodle is a very user friendly application. It allows me to create content that my student are easily engaged in!

Cons:

The application can sometimes feel over whelming with all of the possible features if you are not similar with the set up.

Flexible, Customizable, and Reliable

Comments: As a long-time user of Moodle, I can genuinely say it’s one of the best tools out there for managing online learning and course delivery. From the start, Moodle impressed me with its flexibility and extensive features that make teaching and learning easy and engaging. Setting up a course and adding resources is intuitive, and I love that I can customize it to meet my course needs, whether it’s a small class or a large lecture series.

Pros:

It has many great features such as; being mobile-friendly, highly customizable and flexible, strong security and privacy, and community support that shares resources, troubleshooting guides, and much more.

Cons:

I haven't noticed any missing features or tools for this wonderful platform, but I would love to see more updates in the future.

A Flexible Open-Source LMS with a Steep Learning Curve

Comments: I have over 3 years experience with Moodle.

Pros:

Moodle is free and can modify to change specific requirements for school.

Cons:

Moodle is complex and users can require training to use it.

Useful but complex tool to run

Comments: I used it for my own association. I started with the School version (SaaS). And then, I installed my own Moodle on a server. I spent a lot of time configuring and maintaining the platform. I Also used it for project in NGOs in Belgium and France. And I also used it as an integrated part of a mobile app for Ukrainian Refugees.

Pros:

The flexibility, the reliability, the fact that it is an open source software that you can configure according to your need, the profusion of measurement and assessment tools both integrated and external plugins and themes.

Cons:

You need some good knowledge in programming and server installation to install, configure and maintain your platform up to date. I see that most educational institutions use outdated versions with security risks. Even though the software is free, running it can cost money since it demands serious skills to manage.

Comments: As an undergraduate, my overall experience with Moodle has been a mix of positive and challenging aspects.Overall, moodle has been a valuable tool in my undergraduate studies, providing a comprehensive and flexible platform that supports various aspects of the educational experience. Despite some challenges, the benefits of Moodle in terms of resource centralization, interactive learning, and progress tracking have significantly contributed to my academic success and engagement.

Pros:

Easy access to all course materials in one place. Access course materials anytime and anywhere. Forums, quizzes, and surveys enhance engagement. Efficient assignment submission.

Cons:

Mobile app lacks some functionality and can be less reliable than the desktop version. It Requires a stable internet connection, which can be a challenge for me.

Great system for studies and learning in higher education

Comments: Moodle was the best experience I gained for my studies, it has an easy-to-access interface, all the information is available and the monitoring of studies is fantastic.

Pros:

The study dynamics, the way of presenting the subjects, what I like most is that it follows the evolution of the studies, continuing the studies exactly where it left off. Another important thing is being able to review old materials, making it easier to remember special points.

Cons:

What I like least about the system is the support part. It is not inefficient, but sometimes the delay in service delays the sequence of studies. I understand that the delay is for better support and assistance, and due to the number of requests made by users, but it is also inconvenient to continue learning.

My Experience with moodle

Comments: Moodle is a software I came across when I really needed something with that functionality. It was during the pandemic times so it really spared me a lot of delay in my life by allowing me to continue my studies online and complete my degree eventually, regardless of the pandemic restrictions. It is easy to understand, it is convenient and it works well.

Pros:

What I liked most was how convenient it was. Being apple to access it using my phone at anytime really made things quick and easy without the hassle of having to have my laptop with me at all times

Cons:

What I liked least was the fact that it was not always easy to navigate the app. Sometimes I did struggle a bit finding certain things I was looking for in the app

it was really cool to use Moodle in high school since it allows everyone to have it's own personal workspace and share any file with the persons in your organization and channels

Comments: My overall experience with Moodle had been very awesome and I have been able to recommend this software to all of my friends because of it good UX/UI design.

Learner friendly,

Comments: I had my first contact with it during Covid and online learning was introduced to students. Moodle was easy to navigate and lessons were clearly taught in an interactive manner. Assignments were submitted and returned back to learner with promtly and communications were not distorted all through the use.

Pros:

Ease of deployment and access to learners, making learning fun and interactive and the assessent of student work timely and clear.

Cons:

password authentication could be tedious at the start , but was later rectified.

Comments: In general, my experience has been good and it has been a very useful tool during the pandemic, allowing educational continuity.

Pros:

Scalable system in terms of the number of students. Accessibility and compatibility from any web browser.

Cons:

There are disadvantages associated with security. A failure in the servers or a drop in the internet service can leave the user disabled.

Sometimes, Moodle experiences slowness when loading courses, because of my admin permissions.
