Powerful tool but a steep learning curve

3.0 7 months ago

Pros:

The platform’s ability to segment audiences and automate marketing workflows is pretty powerful, allowing for precise targeting and engagement across email, social media, and SMS. Its integration with Salesforce CRM also makes it easy to pull insights into customer behavior and preferences.

Cons:

Navigating through its interface and setting up campaigns can be time-consuming, especially without prior experience or adequate training. Additionally, some tasks that should be straightforward, like creating email templates or setting up automation workflows, can be a bit cumbersome due to the number of steps involved.

Salesforce equals success

5.0 3 months ago

Comments: Our overall experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud has been mixed. While implementation, cost, and learning curve were issues, once we knew what we were doing, we’ve been able to successfully market through multiple channels with one platform, which has been fantastic.

Pros:

What I liked most about Salesforce Marketing Cloud is the ability to manage email, social media, and text messaging from one platform.

Cons:

What I liked least about Salesforce Marketing Cloud is the complexity of implementation and the steep learning curve

Most convenient marketing automation system in a Salesforce environment

4.0 2 months ago

Comments: I've used many different marketing automation solutionsbefore, and each have their pro's and con's, but anytime I'm working within a Salesforce environment, Salesforce Marketing Cloud is my goto. While other marketing automation systems offer Salesforce integrations, they're essentially iframed into Salesforce to give the visual impression that they're fully integrated, but once diving into the details, there are inconvenient gaps that open up opportunities for human error and data being out of sync. I have yet to encounter a marketing automation software that integrates as seamlessly as Salesforce Marketing Cloud.

Pros:

Extensive features, and seamless integration with Salesforce CRM. No other marketing automation system that I've used works as smoothly with Salesforce CRM as Salesforce Marketing Cloud.

Cons:

Price. Salesforce Marketing Cloud isn't exactly cheap.

SFMC is the WORSE

1.0 11 months ago

Comments: Terrible experience. Need to know basic SQL and AMP scripting.

Pros:

Nothing! Absolute worse platform there is

Cons:

Everything! It's terrible platform, not intuitive, requires marketer to act like IT, clunky, minimal support, all in all feels like a sales tactic scam

Salesforce Marketing Cloud - The best in the game!

5.0 6 months ago

Comments: Salesforce Marketing Cloud gave us insights to customer trends, and the best market segmentation help we could ask for.

Pros:

The high level of personalizable customer engagement, along with access to AI tools, and campaign management, and robust analytics as well. The customer service is great also.

Cons:

Salesforce marketing cloud randomly has extremely long slow periods, and any updates do take a bit of a while. Not much outside of that

A huge waste of time

2.0 5 years ago

Comments: Working with the support team is extremely painful. We spent hours over multiple weeks showing them our issues over video. Their premium support resources often couldn't figure out how to resolve our issues. It felt like they were just as fed up with this crap tool as we are. Although they didn't say it, I think one of our key employees quit over the frustration of dealing with marketing cloud.

Pros:

I don't like anything about this software.

Cons:

The integration with Salesforce is WAY oversold in the marketing materials. Moving data back and forth between the two products is extremely finicky and prone to breaking. Expect lots of duplication of data and lists that will invariably be out of sync. Managing email opt out lists with two systems of record from the same company is a CAN-SPAM nightmare. The integration's administrative tools can't be accessed in lightning. The customer facing unsubscribe and profile management pages look like shit and can't be branded or customized. They are so old, they still provide customers a warning about using HTML emails with AOL. Your Salesforce users will see email sends and interactions in contact records for some but not all emails sent via marketing cloud. If you try to send to a campaign or report from Salesforce, email personalization won't work. Same thing for transactional emails. You will have to send every single piece of personalization data in the API call to marketing cloud, because MC won't be able to find it on its own, even though it has a list of all these attributes and is supposedly syncing with Salesforce. There is single sign on, but only by request, and provisioning of accounts is not supported. Journeys will break the minute you make the slightest change to them. Trying to split journeys based on Salesforce attributes often just doesn't work. Because it's Salesforce, anything you would actually want to do with this software comes at an additional cost.

A great CRM solution!

4.0 6 months ago

Comments: It is a great CRM solution and one that we use to manage Customer relationships and worldwide questions received. We are able to automate the process and make following up and answering the questions so much easier. The cost can be high for small businesses but so far we have made it work

Pros:

How easy it was to customize it to fit our needs. We were able to automate a whole process and streamline our worflows.

Cons:

Cost-- It was getting expensive to add more users and features to our account. With such a large group that needed access we could not justify the cost.

Best of the best

5.0 last year

Pros:

The experience so far on the platform has been outstanding. As the platform increased in the level of engagement, we needed to introduce the right market tools to the business and this is were salesforce comes in. The campaigns were able to reach the right audience. The email functionality is great as well.

Cons:

The only con will be the pricing as it is a bit on the hefty side.

Effective in boosting consumer confidence and gaining new clients and closing more deals.

5.0 2 years ago

Comments: Salesforce Marketing Cloud improved our communication with new and existing customers, boosting their confidence and ultimately leading to new deals and increased sales.

Pros:

Salesforce Marketing Cloud simplifies sales funnel tracking, automates processes, and allows for task creation and reminder scheduling for team members. The intuitive reporting features and customizable dashboards enable the management of a lot of data across interconnected databases. Salesforce Marketing Cloud has helped us achieve positive results in attracting and improving relationships with customers. Contact management is efficient, and the customization and ease of use options provide great organization and search capabilities. Call tracking is also efficient, and creating new tasks after each call ensures easy note-sharing and updates with colleagues for efficient follow-up.

Cons:

Although some complications and difficulties have arisen, the good news is that we were able to overcome them quickly. We have encountered errors due to incomplete integration from other applications and issues when adding calendar links to addressed emails for clients.

Comprehensive Marketing Automation Tool with Powerful Features

5.0 2 years ago

Comments: Salesforce Marketing Cloud has been a comprehensive and effective solution for our marketing needs, offering a wide range of features and integrations. The Journey Builder feature, in particular, has allowed us to automate our campaigns and engage with our customers throughout their journey.

Pros:

The most likable feature of Salesforce Marketing Cloud is the Journey Builder feature, which allows businesses to automate their marketing campaigns and engage with their customers throughout their journey.

Cons:

One of the things I dislike about Salesforce Marketing Cloud is the pricing model, which can be quite expensive for small and medium-sized businesses. However, we believe that the platform's features and capabilities justify the cost, especially for larger businesses.

Easy-to-Use Email Software

5.0 2 years ago

Pros:

The drag-and-drop interface of Salesforce Marketing Cloud makes it simple to create emails. This simplifies the process of adding new designs to my email. Furthermore, the ability to change individual content blocks is useful because it means that if I make a mistake, it will not affect the entire email.

Cons:

Although the platform is quite expensive, I do not believe my company is adequately compensated for it. Customer service has been at best mediocre. We've had a number of issues that have taken a long time to resolve, leaving me and my coworkers frustrated and unable to assist.
