Pros:

We liked that we could have everything in one system including billing thru quickbooks and our subscriptions. Its very easy to use after taking the training and using daily.

Cons:

I get why - but we have asked for a button to make it show inactive so we don't have it on a drop down.

You won't regret it!

Comments: I have been very satisfied w/ Magazine Manager; the program, reaching and tracking support has improved immensely; training availability and said category for training can be suited for individual needs.

Pros:

They are making it so you can have one program that does the job of many. It's my CRM, it's my task manager, it handles my email marketing, keeps me informed of my team's progress; helps w/ me a/r; which has saved our company time and money in getting rid of programs no longer needed, reaching a larger client base and in staying on top of our collections. They offer regular training not just on their crm but sales trainings by their team as well as outsiders, like [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN]. They are constantly improving their system;

Cons:

That I can't make groups on the fly; that invoices can't reference an ad name; that we can't track when a client open's an email. however, when I come up with these instances these can either provide me with a work around or they are in the midst of solving that issue.

Couldn’t operate business without it.

I really love how Magazine Manager brings our whole team together. It covers every department, so instead of juggling external programs, we're all connected in one smooth software flow. It just makes collaboration a breeze!

Cons:

I genuinely can't pinpoint anything negative about Magazine Manager. Over a decade of use has revealed its continuous evolution through proactive improvements. What's truly commendable is their receptiveness to user feedback. Not only do they listen, but our firsthand experience confirms they actively implement enhancements suggested by users, fostering a collaborative and responsive user experience.

Good CRM Software

Comments: Magazine Manager definitely helps our business run smoothly. Would recommend to others, but I hope that MM will improve their customer service and support venues.

Pros:

Magazine manager helps us keep our contacts and orders organized and all in one place.

Cons:

Help files tend to be very outdated, so there is a lot of reliance on tech support, which is usually good but can be a bit of a struggle depending who you speak to. "Updates" don't always make a lot of sense - sometimes make things more difficult.

Comments: The chat feature works extremely well. I'm thrilled to have live support within minutes, and transcripts emailed at the conclusion of the conversation.

Pros:

The Magazine Manager helps efficiently streamline the sales process - it combines your address book, calendar, and reminder apps all in one, and has the added benefit of AI. It also helps teams with cross-selling, inventory management, and marketing outreach.

Cons:

It would be great if each company/business had an umbrella account ID. This way users could refer to a business by the account ID, versus having to relay multiple IDs for the individual contacts, when referring to an account. This would be beneficial since businesses can have more than one contact for sales, production, and billing. The mobile capabilities are quite limited. Both the UI and UX could be updated to provide an experience similar to the web version.

Regarding your comment on having an umbrella account ID, we have added a new 'Parent Company' feature that will allow you to group together Companies & Sub Contacts under one shared account that then can be used as an additional search filter. This feature can be used for parent/subsidiary company relationships as well as just for simpler grouping & searching - such as in your case. Magazine Manager Helps Keep it Together!

Comments: Easy to use and manage all of my working accounts. Providing detailed report outs of past years - comparisons to previous issues and products.

Pros:

Keeping everything in one place and easily pulling needed information. Keeps me on task - providing quick review of past sales / etc.

Cons:

The inability to schedule our digital packages with many products as one line item - while still providing a sub job jacket or something for artwork and schedule

Mag manager

Pros:

Magazine manager allows me to keep organized with all of my tasks. Future calls scheduled meetings. These features help me tremendously with my daily workflow and time management. What I like best for each contact entered, I can go to notes and activity and enter or review what was discussed last.

Cons:

What I like least about magazine manager is that there are too many ways to search for a contact. This leads to multiple entries of the same business. This has caused confusion and controversy between other sales reps.

Comments: Very positive experience with great customer service!

Pros:

The absolute number one thing that has been a blessing is the people who work at Magazine Manager from the Ownership down to their Account Managers everyone has been very accessible, patient, and easy to work with. They truly have taken the time to understand how we have operated for over 40 years and adapted their system to ours.

Cons:

The main cons I can think of have already been addressed or are currently being addressed with their continued product updates.

Easy to use

Comments: Great. I also like that I have the option to work with a consultant at anytime. The Help chat for immediate answers is great too.

Pros:

It helps me organize the sales, and production of every issue. I use it to track potential advertisers for each issue. As well as understanding past advertiser's behaviour.

Cons:

There are so many features that are available and so little time to set up the system to your advantage. Almost every time I watch a webinar there is a new tool/trick to using the system better.

Reliable and easy to use

Comments: Solid experience so far. I've found that the essential things I need coming from a Salesforce-heavy background are satisfied.

Pros:

In the short amount of time I've been using Magazine Manager as my daily CRM, I've found it very easy to find new tools to incorporate into making my daily routing.

Cons:

Email integration took a bit of time for our internal operations team but it is working well now.

A Critical component for business

Comments: Very good, There's still a lot I don't know about Magazine Manager but am very excited that they make it so easy to learn, customer support is also great.

Pros:

Magazine Manager allows multiple people to communicate within notes and calls and keeps a record for us, when your'e making many calls it's easy to forget what happened with each one a week later, but Magazine Manger keeps all your notes and everyone else's right there. The production module is critical for us to keep track of everyones status.

Cons:

I don't really see a con withing magazine manager. They send us emails constantly with updates and options to join classes and read or listen to everything new going on within the website.

Page-Turner Performance

Comments: I've had nothing but great experience working with The Magazine Manager

Pros:

I've used The Magazine Manager for years (including former jobs and roles) and have always appreciated how it integrates between sales, circulation and production. It also has robust reporting. But my favorite aspect is the epic customer support they provide. I can chat with support and get instant feedback or book a Zoom with someone in a very short turnaround. The customer service is excellent.

Cons:

I would like to be able to customize the dashboard to include my own saved reports and focus for the day. Sometimes I come to the software with a sales mindset, sometimes accounting, and sometimes production. While there are quick links to most of these units I would like to customize further.

A one-stop marketing and CRM account management system

Comments: We are marketing our publication products to our CRM base, and are able to create automated workflows to save time. Not only for advertising, but also to manage our subscriptions. Marketing manger has been extremely effective. Their Customer service and training is also wonderful with a daily live chat feature too.

Pros:

The customer service is the best I have experienced. Magazine has may features that allow you to operate your business all from within one system

Cons:

Some features are missing, specifically on the production alerts. However, Magazine Manager is extremely responsive to feature requests, and my hope is that these features will be added in the future.

Makes Your Workflow Easier

Comments: We've been reliant upon MagazineManager for so many years that we wouldn't know how to operate without it at this point.

The only con would be that the system is so powerful and dynamic that I often need a refresher to keep up with the frequent innovations.

Ease of product

Comments: I have been using Magazine Manager since 2008 and over many years I have seen it grow in many areas always with helping the customer's needs.

Pros:

The customer service response is great and always responds with easy-to-understand instructions and explanations to whatever the problem is.

Cons:

Not having a way to do a search according to phone number when trying to find a customer in the database.

I love everything about MM. I started using it at (i think in 2017) another company. I took it to a new magazine and brought it to yet another magazine. MM has improved since I originally started using

Magazine Manager System that actually works.

Pros:

Theres lots of ways to utilize the CRM program to your needs, from keeping track of clients and records. The ability to link to email is also helpful. My favorite feature is tracking communication

Cons:

Flipping between tabs/the software itself it not the most user friendly, more so it feels rudimentary.

There is full-service functionality. All team members find a use here

The Magazine Manager connects the dots

Comments: The support is exceptional. Conversion is always a huge task and overwhelming, but the MM team is patient and walked us through every step, often more than once.

Pros:

MM integrates all the disconnected silos of information and data we struggled with for years - CRM, sales and order data, accounting, invoicing, prospecting lists, newsletter and print magazine production data, email marketing, newsletter publishing. We know that the information is real-time. I no longer have to ask someone if a certain spreadsheet is up-to-date (and we had dozens).

Cons:

Mirabel has an aggressive plan to continuously update the software features, but the priorities of the majority of users, which drive the development schedule, are not always ours. For example, the power of Custom Fields is underutilized because they cannot be batch updated by the user (without submitting a ticket), nor can they be used as variables in mail merge.

Couldn't do this job without The Magazine Manager!

Comments: The fact that our entire team is able to access the same information eliminates them having to ask me for it and me having to do it.

Pros:

As a small business, The Magazine Manager saves me so much time in my day-to-day role in sales and admin. I'm able to find account information quickly and easily, and the report options provide sales reports in multiple configurations.

Cons:

I don't think there's ever been a day when I thought, "I wish I could XZY in The Magazine Manager." But if I did actual live people answer the chat box within minutes.

Magazine Manager best customer service

Comments: It has been great. I enjoy work with [sensitive content hidden] and the rest of the help staff.

Pros:

As a person, who was put in the position of preparing contracts and maintaining the ad updates for our company with no experience at all in this process, I have found that Magazine Manager has the most knowledgeable and helpful customer support team around. No matter how small of an issue (but world ending to me) I can do the help chat and the person helps me out each and every time. I have been fortunate, that when I do use the help chat I usually get the same person, [sensitive content hidden] and he is fantastic. Helps me every time and never thinks I ask too many questions. [sensitive content hidden] is our main person and he is fantastic, also. If I have a major issue, I can contact him and schedule a training session with ease.

Cons:

This may be in Magazine Manager and I just have not looked - but it would be nice if adding the next years schedules would be a little easier. For example: we run a weekly digital email and have a space for 1 banner ad and 4 block ads, I would like to set it up where for the Daily Emails the limits for those are posted so we do not oversell ads.
