I also love how lightweight and flexible it is, especially when it comes to doing some tinkering outside the box, and it have allowed a lot of creative things to be done despite the engine's limitations. > > **Cons**: I would say its lightweight nature has its downsides. It is heavily underrated, hence it is not as popular as many other game engines, so the rate of getting new features could take a while. And there are quite a couple of things that are limited or locked behind a paywall. But other than that, it's still a good product. > > My experience with GDevelop have more or less been a journey. Organisation is not easy. 2D animation lack more advanced tools. Sadly, online forums are less used and the use of Discord doesn't help to archive new user-made knowledge. I don't like all the new generative AI features they added, I know some are just randomizer but I'm afraid the rest is like other generative AI tool that are unethical.
