Low Cost RMM with Great Value
Comments: We transitioned from Labtech automate to pulseway and it's been remarkably simple to switch. The cost savings and what I find to be superior scripting automation has made pulseway my favorite RMM to date.
Pros:
Cost Ability to Deploy from local servers Remote Powershell/Command Prompt is a life saver The scheduled execution of Powershell/Batch Scripts Easily control windows updates
Cons:
No remote access for Mac OS The biggest con is that functions are split between the web interface, the Pulseway Remote Desktop app, and the Pulseway dashboard app, for example, you can only chat a user from the web interface and not directly from the remote desktop application, or you can only configure the customers pulseway monitor configuration from the Dashboard application.
Alternatives Considered: LogMeIn Rescue
Reasons for Switching to Pulseway: The tools the software offered combined with the low price point compared to our previous solution.
Excellent product with great customer service
Comments: From the onboarding on day 1 it has been a really positive experience with good support and backed by excellent customer service and constant improvements to the platform. The endpoint client is simple to setup, the web client is easy to use and allows a lot of fine-grained control and it also provides a lot of peace of mind.
Pros:
Pulseway has given us a really big boost to visibility and issues on our network as well as the power to control both Windows and 3rd party software issues. They also integrate a wide range of products and services which gives us a broad marketplace to choose new IT services from and have them integrate directly into the management platform.
Cons:
Being entirely cloud-based there's a bit of a limit to the usefulness of it as an internal diagnostic tool. Although it's capable of a huge amount it's no help when the internet goes out for example.
Alternatives Considered: NinjaOne
Reasons for Switching to Pulseway: Better value for money for the features they offered. Also their willingness to support SMEs as thoroughly as their bigger clients is really refreshing.
Pulseway is my go-to for remote monitoring and management. Keeps my tech in check on the go!
Pros:
Ease of access, real-time monitoring, efficient alerts. Couldn't do without it!
Cons:
Could benefit from more customizable reporting options and expanded integrations.
A good RMM tool at a good price
Comments: Overall it has been a good platform to use. It offers very helpful tools at a very good price. While I have my complaints about them, they are willing to listen and improve as I have had previous complaints that have been resolved.
Pros:
I like that the platform is constantly improving and adding new features. They are fairly open to criticism and following through on feedback and requests.
Cons:
I am not a fan of the lack of certain features on the web app that their mobile app has such as installing apps and running workflows both ad hoc. There is also a lack of dark mode on the web app. My biggest gripe though is their documentation. It feels incomplete and can be tricky finding information on a certain feature.
Alternatives Considered: NinjaOne and Action1
Reasons for Choosing Pulseway: It is a more mature platform with better remote support features and support for more operating systems.
Switched From: Action1
Reasons for Switching to Pulseway: Primarily pricing was the biggest factor. It offered a great price for the features offered.
I would recommend Pulseway to anyone who asks.
Comments: Overall, the experience with Pulseway has been fantastic. My current Pulseway account manager, [sensitive content hidden], is fabulous. He listens to my concerns, and keeps them in mind while assisting me. [sensitive content hidden] attentiveness and response time is spot on. I wish all my account manager's were as quick to respond and attentive to my needs/requests as he is.
Pros:
Ease of use. Cell phone app, hands down, is the best one we have seen. The phone app and web app work the same, so there is truly no difference. Very quick to respond to a support issue.
Cons:
Update schedule. I wish they would publish the update schedule so that we can plan accordingly.
Alternatives Considered: ConnectWise PSA and ConnectWise Automate
Reasons for Choosing Pulseway: Features Ease of Use Price Phone app Web app
Switched From: N-central
Reasons for Switching to Pulseway: Ease of use, phone app available, web application and price.
Pulseway tool to make IT easy
Comments: We have only the best experience with pulseway and we are always learning new things. It really is a multifunctional tool that makes our work very easy.
Pros:
We use Pulseway for monitoring and remote server management. My favourite thing is that I can control the servers from my phone and in case of any problem I am informed right away and I can sort everything out before the client even notices that there is a problem. Pulseway is a great help and I couldn't imagine working without it.
Cons:
In fact this is the last change where the Pulseway app from the Microsoft store, so it stopped having some basic features like the ability to restart servers, install updates etc... I really enjoyed using the app, and I understand that as part of the progression it's moved to a web interface. But the slowdowns bother me, having to log in, enter 2FAs and such.. But still, it's a great help.
Alternatives Considered: Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud
Reasons for Switching to Pulseway: They don't have as many features. And the controls in Pulseway are simpler.
Best RMM for small MSP's
Comments: For a small MSP like me it offers everything i need to monitor and remotely support the systems i manage. The mobile app is definitly a huge factor. Also my account manager is regularly in touch which is nice (this was not alwas the case). The lack of integrations will make it more difficultto manage if the amount of systems grow but then again pricing is very fair, and did i mention they have a mobile app to manage your systems?
Pros:
Pulseway makes it possible for me to monitor systems on the go. With the app I can preform most of the basic troubleshooting steps, even remote into the system. With the 3PP add-on i can update the OS and 3PP apps. For a small MSP like me its more then sufficient. I have tried Datto this year but renewed my contract with Pulseway in end.
Cons:
You have less posibilities then a solution like Datto and support is not always as good as it should be. I also use Pulseway PSA which is a great tool but there are not a lot of 3rd party vendors that have integrations with Pulseway. Also the need for having a contract for everything is a bit annoying. I get it for backup, PSA and RMM but when i want to get a couple of SAT licenses contracts are a bit of a hassle.
Alternatives Considered: RG System and Datto RMM
Reasons for Switching to Pulseway: Pulseway is the only RMM as far as i know that offers a mobile app. All the functions i need (monitoring, remote desktop, 3PP) is possible.
No better company than Pulseway
Comments: My experience with Pulseway has been nothing less than awesome! The team at Pulseway has been quick and helpful if we do experience an issue. I feel the Pulseway team understands the importance their role plays in the daily success.
Pros:
We currently use PSA, RMM, and IT Glue through Pulseway. The most helpful feature is that all three applications integrate into each other, Azure and on-prem Active Directory. These products are easy to use and navigate once everything has been set up. We use all three of these systems daily, and the RMM mobile application helps us keep tabs on the systems when we are not in the office. The few times we've had to reach out to support, we received fast and helpful responses and solutions usually within a day.
Cons:
It's tough to identify a downside of Pulseway. If I had to be picky, it would be that we cannot do everything in the mobile application that we can do with the web version of RMM. I understand it's tougher to fit all those features into the mobile application but if I HAD to choose something to make better.
A robust RMM solution that deserves your attention.
Comments: Overall, I've been very happy and at ease using Pulseway's platform. The fantastic UI and app support are great for IT workers who are on the go and can't always sit down at a workstation. Over time, I have seen small improvements that make things easier every year. For instance, the new device management page, where you can run a script or workflow on a single workstation rather than manually creating a new scope beforehand, is very handy. From my calls with my Pulseway manager and the various webinars explaining different integrations and features, I'm happy to see that the Pulseway team continues to innovate and improve the platform.
Pros:
The platform is very accessible for SMBs to set up and use. I have only had to call support a handful of times for help over the years I've used the platform. The UI and mobile support are fantastic. When I first started, I had trouble getting quotes from other RMMs because of my low user count. I am truly thankful to Pulseway for making things easy for me. The pricing is very competitive from what I've seen, and this is also appreciated. As someone with a multi-faceted role where I can't spend all my time working solely on security, I appreciate the ease of use and polish that Pulseway brings. Pulseway's support personnel who conduct quarterly or annual calls, along with their general support, are fantastic and very knowledgeable about the product.
Cons:
Pulseway, like any good RMM, comes with full PowerShell access to a single workstation or the entire fleet of workstations through a script or workflow. I wish they had more ready-to-use scripting templates for advanced IT tasks. I have noticed that they have released some nice reporting and script templates since I last checked. Their integrated remote desktop solution for accessing user machines could use some more polish. Additionally, I wish there were more dashboard templates to show other metrics.
Alternatives Considered: Atera, MSP360 Managed Backup, Kaseya VSA and NinjaOne
Reasons for Switching to Pulseway: At the beginning my user count was lower, some RMM's minimum was 50 seats. Other solutions were harder to use or had a weak point that I couldn't get past.

TSG Review 08-01-2024
Comments: I have been very pleased with my experience with Pulseway, Each of the reps in charge of my account have been top notch and have gone out of their way to be friendly and very helpful and Especially Ross who has made every effort to understand the needs of my company and how a one man operation needs to do business.
Pros:
The ability to easily keep track of all of my customers computers and get alerts when there is a problem so I can be proactive in their support as well as Remote Desktop Access which works pretty good for both Windows and MacOS machines.
Cons:
They don't yet have support for Linux Remote Desktop and that is really needed.
Alternatives Considered: Datto RMM and NinjaOne
Reasons for Switching to Pulseway: Price and ease of use as well as features that I needed.

Hey Rick, Thanks for this awesome review. Really glad that you have been enjoying Pulseway thus far and super thankful for the feedback, which we will definitely take into consideration!
Premium RMM at Great Cost
Comments: Pulseway is a great RMM tool, and with the introduction of third party patch management I think they have the opportunity to become one of the best platforms on the market in features, ease of use and cost. Support requests were generally answered quickly, the setup and deployment was easy and the use of the platform was easy to learn. This is a great platform.
Pros:
This RMM platform is incredibly easy to use and setup. Offering silent install of the agent, the ability to lock out the agent from users making changes and from our experience it used little system resources. The RMM comes with it's own integrated remote access tool which allows for seamless remote connection to client endpoints, as well as integrated remote command line tools and remote Powershell right in the dashboard, making it easy to perform tasks without interrupting users. Built in scripting with multiple predefined scripts was a plus, but the ability to custom create and deploy scripts to the dashboard was a huge benefit, especially when remote installing third party software and tools. The dashboard design is modern, the support agent can be branded to your company, and users can request support right from the quicklaunch icon. Additionally, the remote chat feature allows for communicating with a logged in user without having to remote connect to the endpoint, making it easy to give a user a heads up if you need to connect or reboot their machine. Overall the Pulseway RMM product is worth taking a look at for any MSP interested in getting premium features as half (or less) of the cost of the other guys, without compromising on ease of use or support.
Cons:
Third party patch management is just now being rolled out for Pulseway, a feature that many other RMM platforms we reviewed already had in place. We had to use a third party patch management platform to manage non-Microsoft patches. The antivirus integration (for Webroot) doesn't allow management from the dashboard - if you want to add sites or configure policies you have to connect to the Webroot dashboard directly. You can deploy the AV solution from the Pulseway dashboard, but you would have to have already setup the profile for the deployment in Webroot. Pulseway requires a minimum 25 seats - so if you are a small MSP or just starting out, you may end up paying for unused seats - however, the price per seat for workstations is one of the lowest I have seen in the industry, so you'd likely still save money over the other platforms.
Alternatives Considered: N-sight, ManageEngine Endpoint Central MSP and NinjaOne
Reasons for Switching to Pulseway: Cost, ease of use, included tools and available integrations.
ICT Empire review on Pulseway
Comments: Overall im happy - looked at other RMM providers and so far im happy to stick with Pulseway.
Pros:
Easy to Implement and easy to use - very nice and clean GUI. Patch management is great - the other extra features look amazing and will be trying those soon. Security - after reading the Security Policy white papers - i feel more at ease that my clients data is secure. What i love most is the fact that the Pulseway team are all ears - always keen to hear what their clients want and need - Also the fact that they are continuously updating/upgrading and adding new features.
Cons:
No real cons at the moment - they are always keen to assist if i have any issues, which i haven't really had yet. I would like to have ESET integrated into Pulseway - but they are looking into that.
Alternatives Considered: ManageEngine ServiceDesk Plus, N-sight, Atera, NinjaOne and ConnectWise Automate
Reasons for Switching to Pulseway: Great value for Money Clean GUI and easy to implement - dont need hours and hours of training each time i have a new IT technician. Great support team - they are always keen to help wherever possible. I have not once ever heard "sorry, we cannot assist as that is our policy" as i usually get from other providers - They will ALWAYS make a plan to assist you - That alone is golden.
I did it the Pulseway
Comments: My clients have a good overview of their inventory. Updating windows is effortless.
Pros:
easy to use and to deploy. Good reporting functionality. Patching and monitoring is super!
Cons:
The PSA functionality is too much. It would be easier to select which modules you actually need. The remote desktop feature is very limited in comparison to Teamviewer. It would be nice to have a dutch translation.
Alternatives Considered: Atera
Reasons for Switching to Pulseway: Excellent customer relationship, direct contact with the people of Pulseway. They also value your input.
A toolbox that makes maintaining hundreds of systems easy
Comments:
After spending a lot of time monitoring and maintaining systems (both Windows servers, Workstations and Linux servers), Pulseway has proven that the time spend building the right policy and groups is well spend. its easy to monitor whatever we chose.
Also it's super cool, to be able to call a costumer, almost at the same time a notification pops up, to tell them, that we are aware of the problem. Even if we are out of the office, we can do some of the maintenance via the phone app
Pulseway is a tool, that helps our helpdesk and maintenance save time
Pros:
The ease of use The way its posible to use our own scripts in maintenance The installation proces The user and group setup The policy setup The repporting feature The feature to use kaspersky, and get notifications via Pulseway app or dashboard The dashboard used as an info monitor in our Helpdesk, so we are aware of any issues, in a matter of a few minutes Patching servers is super easy
Cons:
in older versions, the user handeling wasnt that great - but after version 6.X, this has become very easy to use We did have some issues regarding users that was able to see all tags or script - I guess this has been corrected now
We Love Pulseway
Comments: Pulseway has gotten better and continues to improve on their service offering. They have partnered with Webroot for antivirus and security training and Unitrends for backup. Both services we use and neither has let us down. I highly recommend Pulseway and we are very happy with their service. Give them a test drive and see for yourself how admin friendly they are.
Pros:
We have been using Pulseway for 3 years system wide. Our IT team has until this year consisted of just me to support 14 sites. Most of my sites are relatively close with my closest at 1 mile and furthest 90 miles away. But I have one site in Colorado and another in Florida. Pulseway lets me manage all sites seamlessly. With their recent addition of 3rd party software updating, it is a more complete offering that makes our jobs so much easier. Their phone app is what sold me on Pulseway and continues to provide the best remote tool that I’ve ever seen.
Cons:
I come from a small MSP consulting background where we tried several different RMMs & PSAs but ended up using Continuum for our main system. I’ve also used SolarWinds in the past, Pulseway handles most of the tasks that Continuum and SolarWinds do, not 100% yet, but the few parts that are left out is room for improvement and growth.
Review
Pros:
The user interface and mobile app features
Cons:
The remote control program organization is weird. We ended up removing policies just so we could organize the clients how we wanted to. The file transfer for remote control sessions is horrible. You can't sort or manage files, you can't type a directory path, you can't send directories.
Alternatives Considered: Kaseya VSA
Switched From: TeamViewer Remote, Symantec Endpoint Security and LogMeIn Pro
Reasons for Switching to Pulseway: Installation process/rollout time
Never looked back!
Comments: Easily manage way more PCs that I would normally have managed. Are managing a lot more problems so can focus only on the bigger picture issues that need addressing. Really makes you shine as an IT Support Provider and as such helps to grow your business.
Pros:
Love that there is a mobile app for me to monitor everything from anywhere. It is simple to monitor and manage and takes difficult tasks and makes them easy. Every IT administrator should use it.
Cons:
Some lag in functionality as it is a cloud product but not enough to put me off. Time difference between myself and support meaning I have to wait overnight to get some answers/action.
Alternatives Considered: Atera
Reasons for Switching to Pulseway: At the time it had a PSA module
Pulseway RMM
Comments: We use it for automation of applications, remote access, and Windows Patching.
Pros:
It's very easy to use and the automations are great. Account manager and support are always very responsive.
Cons:
The mobile app is lacking in some features like remote access into computers.
Alternatives Considered: Datto RMM, ConnectWise ScreenConnect and ConnectWise Automate
Reasons for Switching to Pulseway: Better options. Price point. ease of use.
Outstanding
Comments: I have never experienced such good support, from presales questions, onboarding, and support, to help me work through implementing solutions for my unique needs. I feel lucky I found this solution.
Pros:
Pulseway has exceeded my expectation. It is managing all of our distributed computers. Even more impressive has been the customer support. My initial Product Specialist, Customer Success Manager, IT trainer, everyone, has been fantastic. I don’t have a memory of working with a company where every person has been so helpful and capable. Your product has been an excellent solution for our needs and your team is fantastic. Thanks for everything.
Cons:
None at this time. Plus, regular updates keep adding great feratures.
Amazing product, amazing team, fantastic value
Pros:
Best monitoring and management software out there Well priced Has all the features one would require Control everything from your phone with the Phone App New features added all the time Support is brilliant Able to rebrand the software with your own company information Group policies make managing settings across organisations/departments a breeze Ability to create custom scripts is fantastic Easy to for technicians to adopt and my clients love it
Cons:
Remote desktop isn't the fastest and lacks built in file transfer and chat (chat is done via a separate app) - although support say they are working to improve this. Can't manage third party updates in patch management Would love more antivirus options, perhaps Malwarebytes or Bitdefender There isn't an unlimited endpoints license option (or a per technician license model) to help curb costs when you've got a considerable amount of endpoints to license
Pulseway
Comments: I've used several different systems like this and Pulseway's UI and functionality is top notch. As always for software there is room for improvement, but they have been working towards stable and useful additions to the software and I'm hopeful for the future. My Solution Specialist representative is great to work with and is always helpful!
Pros:
Very nice improvements since version 6.0. The organization of the logins and systems is much nicer and easier to use since v.5. Also having the integration for antivirus and 3rd party patches is a very nice to have.
Cons:
-Sometimes the service times out and disconnects from the server and the service will need to be restarted. -Can't save or locate the webroot product id in pulseway. You have to login to the dashboard of webroot to get this. -needs an at a glance note on each system to identify primary user of system.
Pulseway Products
Comments: This is a great product and has given me the ability to manage all of our IT infrastructure with a small number of staff members and still take care of everything we need to get done.
Pros:
It is the complete package and provides all of my IT needs from an easy to use interface that I can access from anywhere.
Cons:
I wish there was more options to manage mobile devices on the platform, but it sounds like that is coming soon.
RMM & CRM Review
Comments: Overall it has been good with little hiccups, however, when a hiccup happens it is typically impactful.
Pros:
When it works, it works well. There are nice integrations and support for many platforms.
Cons:
Sometimes stuff just stops working. MacOS support for example was broken for us for about a month after a Pulseway update. During another update, we completely lost access to our CRM for several days.
If i could give negative stars, I would.
Comments: Our pulseway has been down for 2 weeks. Considering this is software that we use to run our entire business, I cant stress enough how much to not use this company. Support tickets ignored, unable to even log in due to an error in their systems. 2 weeks withodut access is enough to shut a place down....
Pros:
When we were able to log in, it worked ok. The rules were relatively comprehensive.
Cons:
Promised functionality never came, regular downtime and outages, poor performance.
Alternatives Considered: SYNCRO Web 2 Text Chat Software
Reviewing Pulseway after using it for 3 years
Comments: I have been using it for years and I enjoy it. I have had very few issues.
Pros:
It is quick and easy to manage devices online and also from a phone. The updates have made it even easier to navigate.
Cons:
There needs to be more integration with 3rd party tools like Bit Defender. Currently, there are too many other logins for the partnering tools.
