Takes control over order management.

Comments: It's been great and continues to improve.

Pros:

Overall functionality from controlling customer orders to inventory is pretty smooth and seamless.

Cons:

Need better access to simple features that are buried or unavailable. Such as being able to manage bespoke customer orders independently from inventory and MO's.

Pros:

An intuitive, visually appealing, and capable ERP system that is truly easy to use!

Cons:

Only downside is that customization is limited as the program is the same for all users. However, with careful planning to accommodate everyone, we've had many successful customization projects with the MRPeasy team.

Alternatives Considered: SQL Monitor

One of the things I liked most about MRPeasy was its comprehensive and user-friendly interface. Cons:

We call it Mr. Peasy, and it makes my life much easier.

Comments: Overall it has done everything we need it to do, and it’s easier to use than 3 other systems we tested, while still being a very capable platform.

Pros:

We only use a small fraction of its features. I like that we can use it with the very simple workflow we have now, and activate or start using more features as we grow.

Cons:

Write offs - you can only write off one item type at a time using the normal web interface. We have some parts that get scrapped during production, and when we write them off it would be useful to enter them as a list rather than one by one. You can upload a CSV to do this but it’s not as user friendly.

Excellent MRP system for this small manufacturer

Comments: Excellent product with excellent customer support. From the start, they were very helpful as we implemented and transitioned and continue to give us top notch support - even though we are a tiny business.

Pros:

One of the only MRP systems that fits our needs. We are a small manufacturer that sells wholesale to our dealers, and keeping track of our inventory and forecasting future manufacturing needs and purchasing requirements are key. MRPEasy has allowed us to meet both of those goals. Also, there customer support and success operations are very responsive and top notch!

Cons:

While it is good at the order processing function, there are some tweaks that could be made for those of us that drop ship to our dealer's customers. No deal breakers though - this is an excellent product.

Alternatives Considered: Zoho Inventory

Reasons for Choosing MRPeasy: Prior product did not have the functionality to forecast our manufacturing and purchasing needs and was too buggy.

Switched From: SOS Inventory

Reasons for Switching to MRPeasy: MRP forecasting capabilities. We need to see out 6-12 months due to long lead times for certain components.

The name says it all

Comments: Excellent. It is a brilliant piece of software that has saved me and my staff hours of work, enabling us to be so much more efficient. The design, operation and implementation is so clear and easy to use. Cannot fault it.

Pros:

It really does make MRP easy! It was a simple system to setup and implement and using it is a breeze. It manages stock and production efficiently and accurately. We never have any problems with data it works brilliantly. Just can't fault it, even the instructions, help and tutorial videos are brilliant.

Cons:

In an ideal world the CRM would be better and able to import contacts easier. Though the link with pipe drive is intriguing, I need to see how seamless this is so we can manage CRM and MRP all under one roof. Being able to pull more information from the customer order through to the delivery note would remove an operation from my day, similarly from a customer order through to the batch label.

Alternatives Considered: Kantata, Expandable ERP, Statii and Katana

Reasons for Switching to MRPeasy: Flexibility, really good tutorial and demo, future integrations. Grows with business and needs.

No fancy user interface and quite expensive but highly customizable and gets the job done.

Comments: MRPeasy was already partially implemented when I joined the company, and I did not have any previous experience with MRP systems when I joined. I initially thought that it was not the most user friendly system. It looks very "old school". We have been trying a few different systems, exact because our finace department uses exact, and we also gave odoo a try to perhaps move to more of a ERP system. However I felt that both exact and odoo was inferior to MRP easy, BUT, for the functionality that MRP easy offer I do feel that you charge a very high price for it. We pay 79 per user simply for a MRP system when for instance Odoo charges 39 for a ERP solution. We will definitely move away from MRP easy in the future, when we grow our manufacturing team, if you do not change this. I want my employees to be able to use functions like bar code scanning on their tablets without having to pay enterprise / professional subscriptions for them as well.

Pros:

I like that it is quite easy to customize the views, (once you have learned how to do it). The amount of customizable options are also very good compared to some other programs.

Cons:

I do feel that sometimes it is not completely logical to me where to find the settings, the way you have decided to put some settings under enterprise, some settings under professional etc makes it hard to find what I am looking for.

Alternatives Considered: Odoo

MRP for small companies

Comments: It has been Satisfactory to use, and extremely helpful.

Pros:

MRPeasy has facilitated our inventory control, so we have more visibility on the items that are critical on hand and allows us to take preventive measurements if the component is in backorder. I spent much less time doing inventory and actually looking for ways to improve the workflow as our company grows bigger.

Cons:

It requires some time to get used to the correct paths to delete or add some components but once the user is familiar with the platform, it becomes a useful tool. Additionally, It would be helpful upon the creation of the manufacturing order to add other BOMs to the same MO, instead of creating a new BOM that includes multiple BOMs.

Alternatives Considered: Focus MRP, NetSuite and Katana Cloud Inventory

Reasons for Switching to MRPeasy: In the meantime, we only need help with inventory control and some manufacturing workflow. Therefore, other solutions overwhelmed the overall scope we were looking for, and all those features come with a price. Which, we are not ready to implement yet.

Robust Features but Poor UX and Limited Integrations

Pros:

I've found that MRPEasy offers a wide range of functionalities that meet my various needs. The customer support team has been quick to respond and effective in resolving my issues whenever I've needed assistance. Additionally, I appreciate that MRPEasy provides a cost-effective solution without compromising on quality.

Cons:

However, I find the interface unintuitive (really bad UX, like an app developed 15 years ago), making the app frustrating to use. For example, actions that should take one click often require three, which slows us down. At times, the technical support hasn't been as helpful as I'd hoped, leaving some of my problems unresolved. There aren't enough integrations, and it makes it challenging for me to connect and extend the app’s features. Moreover, basic integrations, like with Google Drive, are limited and don't allow me to select specific save folders, which reduces flexibility and efficiency for our workflow.

Alternatives Considered: Odoo and Katana Cloud Inventory

Good MRP/ERP

Comments: Scheduling is the biggest problem we have solved with MRPeasy.

Pros:

We are a flooring manufacturer and this program gives me a good picture of what's happening each day. It also really helps me keep up with raw and finished inventory. Each of my employees has access to it which allows them to keep each project updated as it moves through the shop. It's been a game-changer for us. It frees me up from micro-managing each employee and gives the employees a view of the big picture. They have enjoyed that.

Cons:

The reporting features are a little confusing to figure out. We are still learning the program so haven't ran into a lot of features we would like to add.

Started a young organization with MRPEasy

Comments: MRPEasy is perfect for my (young) organization, need to set it up better, to profit more from it. Don't use the manufacturing part yet for example.

Pros:

I like that I can enter purchase order and sales orders and can overview my inventory (in a while).

Cons:

The setup time. There are a few flaws. The requirement to sent mrp links to customers, that shouldn't be involved with mrp (so end up always removing those links).

Good program

Comments: In general the best program for that price.

Pros:

Easy to learn how to operate program and it have all main functions for working in small production company.

Cons:

Very hard to create BOM with a lot of subproducts. Cannot understand if all positions are included and added.

Pros:

MRPeasy allows me to maintain my raw material inventory and better plan for my production schedule. I am better able to forecast my raw material needs and what inventories I need.

Cons:

Great for keeping track of inventory

Pros:

Being able to follow back where each product came from and where it has been shipped to. Being able to check up inventory simply.

Cons:

Some of our products are made at the same time as others but need to be inputted separately (as it is not always the case) which makes it harder to calculate costs of manufacturing.

The most Straght foward MRP system

Comments: 2 Years ago we set about moving from an excel based order management system to something more modern, easier to control and better suited to our growing business. Having demo-ed a number of MRP systems none really ticked the boxes for our business and or seemed over complicated or had too many functions and a very steep learning curve. We had given up until I stumbled acrsoss MRPeasy. Its layout, self taught nature and ease of implementation sold the product to me and after the free trial it was a no brainer for our business. Over the last 2 years we have increased learning, improved our systems and expanded use of MRP easy into different aspect sof our business.

Pros:

MRP Easy is layed out very simply, it easy to navigate and simple to understand. It is customisable for your business and certain functions can be deactivated until you come to use them. There was easy to use instructions which made learning at your own pace very simple

Cons:

Produciton Planning and the interactions of the system are not perfectly suited to our manufacturing process. It means we cnanot use this functionality eaactly as we woudl like.

Such a shame

Comments: I am pulling all of my customers away from it because a backup is the customer's data! To restrict it to a short time period is really not acceptable. After all the work is done so why force customers to do it again. For me this caused major embarrassment and had a negative impact on my reputation and as such I will not be associated with the software or business again. I am movint to Katana and will be pushing all past and future clients there too.

Pros:

The software is easy to pick up and run with. As a contracted product Development Manager I have set it up for many clients who continue to use it. Training is easy too. The system is smooth and intuitive and literally guides you to the correct sections as you progress. They didn't miss a trick.

Cons:

The trial does not allow you to back up for more than 30 days. As it takes 12 to 18 months to launch a product you can get bribed into paying a monthly premium as a contractor to keep the main purpose of the software in order during that time. Others allow you to trial backup then when you are ready upload your backup and hit the ground running saving money and time. MRP Easy however does not!

A most dependable platform for your organization.

Comments: For the past 7 years I've been an active user of MRPEasy through different organizations and it comes to no surprise that MRPEasy has always been up to the task. From metalworking to composite extrusion, this tool has been able to adapt to our very specific factory needs. Definitely a great aid in growing a small business to a medium size company!

Pros:

It's ease of use and friendly interface makes it easy to train and quick to migrate to. We have had very little to no resistance from personnel when migrating them to use the system.

Cons:

Limited customization on the dashboards and reports are also a bit simple.

Easy Peasy

Comments: We are very glad to no longer be relying on spreadsheets for stock control and the amount of time it took to keep track of stock levels. We can now easily keep track of total stock and where it is being stored at any given time, and easily transfer it items from our online store to markets. It has also helped us order new stock quickly and efficiently.

Pros:

As we were implementing MRPeasy it helped draw attention to areas of our business that could be better streamlined. We made several changes that helped us maximise our use of MRPeasy and also provide our customers with product selection that more cleverly customised to their needs which in turn improved our sales.

Cons:

We struggled the most with how to integrate MRPeasy with our accounting system, Xero, but would recommend getting assistance from an experienced accountant. We wished that we could also have the option to feed "virtual stock" numbers to our shopify store. We make up items when we receive an order as different parts can be used to manufacture several different final products but we don't always carry stock to make every single option we offer.

This was a game changer for our small business

Pros:

This cloud-based data management system really covers all the inventory. purchasing, and invoicing needs for our small manufacturing business. The nested framework of items and assemblies are very logical, and the customer management (quotes, invoicing, etc.) has been invaluable. I am able to get through the whole process from quoting to delivery without forgetting steps (like ordering a crucial part). The tutorials and online manual are very helpful, and customer support is quick to get back when there is a question.

Cons:

The logic for some of the calculations are not intuitive, and not always clear from the instructions. I figured out many of the functions by careful trial and error, but this could be because I don't have a business background and lack the terminology. The report layouts are a bit constrained if I need to add extra information.
