Great software

4.0 6 years ago

Pros:

Easy to use, has accounting features built in, has POS system built in, interfaces with Expedia and booking.com, etc.

Cons:

Would like to have a customer loyalty program built in to track our frequent stayers and members of our loyalty program. Would like an option to have a room allotment for FIT reservations that would be automatically dropped 30 days prior.

These people do not understand the meaning of customer service

3.0 7 years ago

Comments: I could never in good conscience recommend becoming involved with these people. The product is reasonable good, the support is not.

Pros:

This is the third Hotel management system we have used in the past 20 years. This one is functionally as good or better than any we have had. It is reasonably easy to learn and use, has reasonable flexibility allowing you to tailor your reporting, and if used in conjunction with the food and beverage module, there is good connectivity and functionality

Cons:

The sales line provided at time of purchase was nothing but salesman BS, promises were made, assurances were given regarding capabilities and performance, and it has been like pulling teeth to try and get the service people to have the system perform as we were promised it would. These people have an arrogant, belligerent and confrontational attitude to customer service. We have given up using them for support and are forced to do almost all system configuration, modification on our own. Thank goodness we have good people with 20 years of hospitality software who are intelligent and motivated to resolve issues on their own because there has been little support from 5-Star.

Pros:

It did not take too long to learn. I found it very simple and easy.

Cons:

Items could easily be deleted, without being prompted.

Alternatives Considered:

Not Worth the Money

1.0 5 years ago

Comments: Extremely poor and filled with negative emotions. Very bad

Pros:

Nothing—it is very expensive and not very easy to use. I’d like for it to integrate with my MINDBODY online software, but it doesn’t.

Cons:

It’s very expensive, does not integrate with MINDBODY online, the data integration was not done correctly and customer support does not listen to extenuating circumstances

Easy to learn. We took advantage of the Five Start Lite

3.0 4 years ago

Comments: Certainly good for small places requiring a simple system. Bigger business might want to consider alternatives instead.

Pros:

Simple system, easy to learn and implement Its a relative small company compare with others but it has enough information provided on their website. The two tiers is good. Helped a very small inn to setup with Five Star Lite, take advantage of this cheaper version.

Cons:

System performance is slightly on the slow side. A bit long to generate report Hope they have better Support service; Cost is a bit high consider the support we got and consider this is a small company

A pleasant method to save at the spots you purchase at!

5.0 3 years ago

Comments: This framework saved my staff costs by eliminating the need to have deals specialists looking out for the finish of the telephone to take reservations. Simultaneously, made my staff more useful by empowering them to zero in on errands past the everyday running of the business.

Pros:

Straightforward framework, simple to learn and execute Its a general little organization contrast and others yet it has sufficient data given on their site. The two levels is acceptable. Assisted a little hotel to arrangement with Five Star Lite, exploit this less expensive variant.

Cons:

I detested how I was unable to discover numerous spots I had trusted would be enrolled into the Fivestars program.

An enjoyable way to save at the places you buy at!

5.0 3 years ago

Comments: Easy interface and easy system to use. The system allows for quick and easy access to what’s needed to redeem points earned, etc…

Pros:

This is such a great app/software. I can receive May rewards from the places I buy thing at the most and receive fun and enjoyable freebies along the way!

Cons:

I disliked how I couldn’t find many places I had hoped would be registered into the Fivestars program.
