I loved its intuitive ease of use, the seamless integration of still and video, and the ease with which I could add graphics from their library. It also had good font selections, typical image editing, and blending effects. Overall, it was a great app with good resources\! > > **Cons**: :: No way to batch-download your projects. :: Cannot access folders on the web version. :: Downloading video is slow; saving errors aren't uncommon. :: Linking of SSO logins with main account causes missing projects \& issues with billing\!\! :: Issues with logging in began immediately after GoDaddy purchased Over. :: Customer service chat linked through the app, so when they would ask me to verify something from the app, i would get disconnected from the chat. It has been a very rocky transition since GoDaddy purchased Over. First, I lost several projects, and then logging in became a headache; being directed to use an SSO (Gmail or Apple) meant my projects were no longer all contained in one spot. Then, on Dec. 29, 2024, after using this app for ~4 years, I was prompted to repurchase my Pro subscription or lose all my work. So I did. Then I happened to check my Apple subscriptions only to see that my Pro subscription had previously been renewed on Sept. 29th. Contacting GoDaddy's customer service led to the same experience as another user: they said I didn't even have an account (I was chatting with them through their app that I was logged in to). Said that I paid apple, not them, so I needed to contact apple services. I've disputed the charges and am currently taking the day to download all my remaining projects and delete this app. > > With subscription media, I understand the risks if the company is bought or goes out of business. If, say, Amazon Prime shuts down, I will lose access to the movies I have "purchased" through them. Fortunately, I can access those movies through other means. With subscription design apps, they hold \*your\* copyrightable content hostage. This is my creative work, and I lose access to it unless I pay them. I was given this warning, so I paid...twice. I am owed $107.74 from GoDaddy Studio. I am on the hunt for another mobile design app. If you are a new user, not a legacy user from Over, your experience will probably be fine (until GoDaddy sells to another buyer). Download your projects often.
