### "Great option by Amazon (AWS) products" — 5.0/5

> **Yaniv** | *15 October 2021* | Computer Software | Recommendation rating: 10.0/10
>
> **Pros**: The best benefit of ECS is the ability to run and manage containers in a cluster (while once you had to have one EC2 instance per each service).
>
> **Cons**: Same as we had in the EC2 product, sometimes some operations on ECS take a while (which might be fine), but except a "loading indication" that doesn't help - you can't really know if the action still takes place or whether it's stuck.
A progress indicator (even based on common stats, if can't be really measured) - can help a lot.
>
> ECS enables us to run, manage and monitor multiple containers of the same/different services we have in our platform, with a good set of tools.

### "ECS - Contain your excitement" — 5.0/5

> **Verified Reviewer** | *5 June 2022* | Publishing | Recommendation rating: 9.0/10
>
> **Pros**: \* Containers are so much easier to manage than Chef recipes
\* Docker ecosystem is growing; OpsWorks is not
\* Integrates nicely with CodePipeline
\* Running containers locally not different at all from running on prod
>
> **Cons**: \* Not always easy to find the specific task/instance you want
\* Levels of abstraction are hard to wrap your head around sometimes
>
> Our original setup at AWS was heavily OpsWorks/Chef based. But as the Docker ecosystem has grown over the past 5 years, we've moved almost everything over to using a CodePipeline/CodeBuild/ECS system. Most of this has to do with the advantages Docker has: no recipes to keep up to date, no scripts to debug, local instances look identical to what runs on staging/prod, so deploys have fewer hiccups. Clearly AWS feels the same way -- if you look at the OpsWorks control panel today, you'll see it's not getting a lot of love from Amazon these days. Once you wrap your head around the multiple layers of abstractions, it just works. But that's not always easy. Code Pipeline runs Builds in CodeBuild, that result in containers that get put into tasks that are running on instances. At least, that's how I think it works :) So it can be hard to track down exactly where your code is running: you have to not just find the instance, but then the container on that instance. And one instance may be running a load of containers. But that's ok -- virtualization is what you should be doing anyway. ECS helps you manage the relationships between these containers and the instances they live on in one simple spot. Like everything at AWS, the interface takes some getting used to -- and it's very easy to get lost in the 6 clicks it takes to get from one place to the next. But the power of ECS cannot be denied.

### "ECS for managing containerized Applications" — 4.0/5

> **Pawe** | *11 August 2022* | Computer Software | Recommendation rating: 6.0/10
>
> **Pros**: I enjoyed how well it integrates with other AWS tools including CloudFormation and EC2. It is indeed quite hard to maintain and configure ECS, but it seems to be so with other tools used to manage containers.
>
> **Cons**: It includes substantially less features than Kubernetes for example and it is not cloud agnostic.

### "A simple system fully integrated with aws without operational burdens" — 4.0/5

> **Verified Reviewer** | *24 October 2022* | Information Technology & Services | Recommendation rating: 9.0/10
>
> **Pros**: Its simply integrated system to manage containers
>
> **Cons**: No advanced controls over traffic management and monitoring
>
> Overall its a good system for small to medium-sized company to use containerized systems

### "Best of Amazon" — 5.0/5

> **Aldrin Sean** | *25 February 2023* | Fund-Raising | Recommendation rating: 10.0/10
>
> **Pros**: My items I got where up to norm and was a day ahead of schedule. Amazon has never bombed me, other than the Visas you should must have an ideal FICO rating to get any card on Amazon which is a very bummer.
>
> **Cons**: Assuming that I at any point run into an issue, I contact the confidential dealer and every one of my issues are addressed by the vender.
>
> I love Amazon. It holds me back from running all over town to search for things and you can quite often track down things less expensive on Amazon.
